WHAT? i'll have to look up a video for that later. in other news, ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IN LESS THAN TWELVE HOURS, THANKS NOTCH
Man. People whine about the ibterviews but I really like them honestly. Theyre what got me i to casually doing it myself because wow look. The runners are just normal people who happened to play the same game all the time. That and getting me comfortable woth accepting that a lotoof what i did even before k owong about speedrunning was in fact speedrunning. Just it was entirely disconnected from the community.
this is my first agdq i've watched live, i didn't even know they did interviews. i think it's really cool actually. you know there has to be filler, but this is COOL filler! also the ad from the guy from the yetee who was playing accordion covers of undertale songs. that too.
Yeah they found ways to mix triggering multiple text boxes, the index fuckery, and the blue warp in the deku tree without a bottle. Uses a deku nut from a baby gohma and one of the crawl spaces.
what's funny about me loving OoT speedruns is that it was 1) the first game i owned for a console and not a handheld, and 2) a game i glitched on accident with an out of bounds glitch in the gohma boss room that freaked me out so badly that i still have nightmares about it to this day
The first glitch i can remember fidning was how to fuck with the finish line in snowman land or ehatever in mario krt 64. Do it rigjt nd you can just keep going back and forth over the line without actually goong around the course. Also fpund some of the skips using the jump.
i remember the first time my childhood best friend showed me the skip on rainbow road in mario kart 64... [wistful sigh] those were the days...
That is one of the ones i found. I was shit at it but i found it. The game i started actually really attempitng to fond ways to optimoze speed wise was castlevania 64 when i was like 12. Id go through periods every year trying to get the times down. Learned about the tricks ised by the commu ity for it a few years back. Im so giddu that some of the things i did actually are official tricks or strats.
i'm screaming because super monkey ball speedruns always make me super tense. it's basically just... controlled falling... and it's really scary...
quiet sobbing as Cedar looks at the schedule and sees all these games they love that they totally missed out on watching .....but oh mY GOD THEY'RE DOING POKEMON EMERALD fuck now I have to stay awake time for coffee and ibuprofen too I guess
it's making me super anxious when they make mistakes and fall off. aaaaaa i know very little about speedrunning so i really appreciate when they explain what they're doing haha
Super Monkey Ball 1 runs in particular are THE WORST. So tense that even the runner shuts up. Deluxe and Banana Blitz Runs you actually get talking from the couch and the runner, but holy shit the 1 runs just go SILENT in experience.
wow i didn't even notice we were almost at a quarter of a million dollars. thanks, the yetee i'm glad that nebby is at least winning the castform bid war, but yeah, this spinner luck, what the hell
and then that run got the godquaza. i'm sad because i missed 2/3 of the katamari damacy run this morning, and then because of phone call i missed basically the next run and then half the run after that. if i had money i would donate towards "the final pam" being the name for fallout, just because of monster factory.
1) the schedule is running like... an hour ahead according to what my schedule says, which is supposed to be adjusted to my time zone 2) i'm not complaining because now i don't have to stay up so late to watch the whole final fantasy run 3) ALL OF THE MARIO RACES WERE FUCKING INCREDIBLE
