lucanis ends up knife-brother, but I think for a long while he was something else. shift is definitely after weisshaupt but before ghilan'nain's last fight. tevinter sign's gotta have something for perrapatae, right? that might've been his pre-broship name, since it is why he gets recruited.
neve's bloodhound, and probably inherited that from other dragons rather than jess herself. even if her kismessitude beef with aelia isn't public knowledge, girl's got a rep.
davrin and assan are probably bow and arrow respectively, because rook's terrible puns are canon and assan is right there.
it occurs to me we never actually see (hear?) varric nickname harding; rook gets rook, and banter with neve can reveal she got one too, but harding... doesn't. (unless it's in the comics somewhere.) this feels revelatory but also makes it harder for me to steal canon ideas lmao.
bellara is also giving me trouble; lightning-puzzle feels a bit too on-the-nose.
taash I think ironically doesn't get changed, despite being romanced; it's all in different subtexts, but flying-heart stays the same. at first, just horning in on the bit of a dragon hunter named for dragons; then, the freedom of gender expression; and, at the very end, emphasis on 'heart'.
