honestly I think I preferred the whole-limb hives treatment to gotdamn bug bites, it's been ages since I had either but at least the hives were a consistent stimulus that I could train myself to ignore and not this bullshit on-again-off-again
surprise impulse to remove entire chunks of flesh

a lot of dogs, cats, horses etc would have a great deal of trouble if castration removed the penis

the second most dangerous part of flood driving (after, of course, the flooding) is the jackasses in tall trucks who think they can just zoom through the deep bits and don't care that they're blinding everyone on the other side of the road

a genus of plants, the roots of which have saponifying (soap-making) chemicals in them easily brought out and used As Soap just by crushing them, historically used by several native tribes over here and then also colonists bc hey, It's Useful

I vaguely recall seeing it used in a (fantasy?) historical series I read when I was younger, which was rather european-flavored
thus the "what do you mean it doesn't grow in Europe" moment when I went to check what the plant looked like :p
