Jael is a legit name—Biblical, iirc. I wonder if her name was intended to be Jael, and it got mistranslated as Jail or something?

according to nanoha wiki - which i was careful about reading 'cause of spoilers - his name is a translation of a japanese word that literally means "jail."

... so they did this on purpose, apparently.

Ryah is actually quite pretty, imo, and I’ve seen it spelled various ways over the years—iirc it’s often short for Mariah (in fact, I actually knew a Riah in high school, short for that), but it’s not terribly out there as a standalone name?

Jakkob, though, is kind of baffling to me from a pronunciation perspective.

  8. Agreed, Jakob with one K is pretty common but the second one muddies the water.

Ryah had a sibling and I can’t remember their name... it was another R name, Ryker or something?

  9. Update- their siblings name is Rogan. Also we have a new customer who lives on Butts road.

  19. One of our customers is a woman named Sun (as in, the thing in the sky). Must’ve been confusing when she was younger- “I’d like to introduce my daughter, Sun.”
