Looked that one up out of curiosity, and apparently it's an actual Arabic language name! It's almost entirely used as a surname, though--this site says that Tarazi as a first name is extremely rare (and given that almost all the incidences of it as a first name are in the US, I'm guessing it's quite nontraditional as well). Not sure how accurate that site's stats are, but given the fact that it exists as a surname, it's not too surprising that it's shown up as a given name. (Definitely seconding the disappointment about her surname, though. :P)
Also, under the "strange combos" heading, I got a Pinterest notification from someone whose name was listed as Harmony Harbor. Am I the only one who thinks that sounds like an area at Disneyland or something?
So, at this point, many of us have probably seen this Facebook post. But I haven't seen that many people comment on "Declyn"
Jaxxxon. Even ignoring the fact that that’s a highly unconventional spelling, this kid is gonna deal with “triple x” jokes for years. Jack-sk-sk-son.
(Post redacted due to the fact that I recently learned the owner of the name in question seems to have chosen it for himself. Don’t feel comfortable making fun of that.)
To be fair, “Couch” kinda ruins any badass first name, imo. That reminds me of a story, though. My dad, at some point I think before I was born, had a coworker whose surname was Curtain, and she got pregnant. Cue the entire department making jokes about what she should name her kid for maximum awfulness. (My dad “suggested” Lacy for a girl and Rod for a boy.) Obviously the baby was ultimately given a completely normal name, but the department had a nine-month-long field day with that. XD
Have I mentioned that time I was looking up someone with the last name "Sheets" in the VAN and discovered that there's someone registered to vote in the state named Argyle Sheets?
