It's just occurred to me that this is the place to mention that my girlfriend's name is Ave Maria [last name]. It's complicated but that's what her birth mum named her, and she always goes by Ave. (Ah-vey) If she had a penny for every time an employer or casual acquaintance had called her Av-ah, she wouldn't have to work two jobs to make rent XD In her words - "It's three letters! Not much room for error, and yet!!"
Kimbley. I really hope it was a typo for Kimberley. Also, I remembered out of the blue that I knew a girl named Bryttani once. I literally cannot parse it as being pronounced the same as Brittany--I only knew her online and never heard her name spoken aloud, to be fair, but I'm guessing it was intended to be a ~*creative*~ spelling of Brittany even though I'm pretty sure phonics don't really work that way.
I'm hoping this is a jokey Facebook name and not his real name, but I just saw a comment on Facebook by one Christian Christiansen. (EDIT: And a cursory glance at his profile reveals him to be a single cis man, so it probably wouldn't be a married or chosen name...)
i went to high school with a John Johnson. and one year we had a Swedish exchange student named Jon Jonsson. they were both on the football team at the same time... that screwed up the announcers at the games more than once!
I went to school with a James James. (He was not happy his parents named him James.) I wonder if he ever changed it...
I would like to once again tell you all about my high school friend Triple Mike. Michael. Michael. Michaelson. (I was the one who called him Triple Mike and only got away with it because we were friends and I let him joke about my abomination of a name in return)
I'm so glad my parents vetoed Nicole as a name five seconds after considering it, because Nicole Nickel would've been horrible, but...wow. It could be even worse.
