Good news: a cute lesbian couple and their adorable 2-year-old came through my checkout line this morning! Bad news: the old dude behind them was a grade-A dick and spent his transaction yelling at me about how People Like That are ~*~dangers to society~*~ and shouldn't be allowed to adopt or raise children :/
good news: I now have a new laptop, and can play games with friends again bad news: first game i've played with them was overwatch, which frankly, when you're the only new player in your group, REALLY SUCKS and actually makes you feel like shit. everyone else having a grand time and I can't remember that shift is an attack, not sprint, due to playing 80+ hours of sr3 in less then two weeks. (I left the call early and dealt with the frustration in the way my brain has been functioning lately, TEARS. Fun.)
Unless your group has a Soldier 76 main, would it be worth trying him instead? It... really does suck hopping into a game with experienced people and still fumbling your way through the controls, but if nothing else, his shift is a sprint ability that feels similar to a lot of non-FPS game.
bad news: my housemate's window has leaked all winter and now into spring, and the landlord says the roof'll be fixed in a few weeks finally but in the meantime every time it rains it fills these huge water buckets on the table and she has to bail them constantly. Even when trying to sleep. Last night she had work, so I went into her room while she was gone to bail them out for her repeatedly. The last course though, her messy room's floor attacked me and I tripped, and then injured my back. which i powered through to fix the water situation to keep more flooding away, but then was in so much pain i finally KOed at like 6:30 so she'd be home in time to bail again on her own. i then slept till 3:fucking30. good news: i have a toasted everything bagel and i'm dunking it in day-two chicken curry and life is good.
i am super bad at attack heroes tbh, my sib's tried to teach me stuff before hand, i mostly have been playing Rein bc I have at least a decent grasp on tanking and a good hp pool if i mess up. (...it's what i basically do in every other fps where i am squishier.) (which also kinda made me scared to chose anything else bc i have issues and fear of being yelled at so i just. went with the only one i had somewhat success with in the one on one my sib tried with me before easter.) i kinda fixed it by switching that attack to a mouse button (and then forgot it fucking existed,) but basically the whole game after i fixed controls-ish was still miserable and I am honestly kinda. not wanting to play ow again to be fair. i don't know why i ever thought of trying it, i'm too scared of most interactions on multiplayer video games. (doesn't help my sib has dragged me into heroes of the storm for skins a year ago and i basically was fumbling around n someone really got on my case for being bad which upped the whole 'don't like multiplayer 'finding other players' style' games)
Good: gonna be starting a med to maybe help my constant joint pain! Bad: have to have an extremely unpleasant medical exam sooner than I thought I'd have to
Three parter! Good: Phone navigation is even better than I’d hoped at helping me avoid the worst traffic problems. More reliable travel times, more varied scenery. Bad: Holy shitweasels does it run down the battery if you leave navigation running free while you dodge a million traffic jams. Good: I had a usb adapter for the car already as well as a charge cord in my purse, because that’s how I roll. Now I’ve acquired an outlet adapter to keep in my purse so I’ll have options. The purse mostly functions as a specialized pocket organizer for larger bags unless I’m pretending to be an adult. Now it’s even more full of practical wonders than it was before.
Bad: I was trying to put a pill back in a bottle last night and accidentally dropped the bottle instead, without the lid. Over a hundred xanax went all over the floor. I decided to leave it for the night as I didn't have my contacts in and they weren't going anywhere. Good: In the morning light I realized the little round, melon orange pills made quite a delightful polkadot pattern. And because of all my recent cleaning efforts, it was easy to find all the pills and get them back in the bottle.
Good news: wrongworld is out on steam finally! Bad news: my laptop has failed to spontaneously grow 2 extra GB of ram so I still can’t play it :(
do you know if your laptop has an expansion slot for more ram? A lot of them do, if it does you might be able to buy some so you can play it.
It does, but it’s an old and not great laptop, so I’m hesitant about buying upgrades for it when I don’t know how long it’s going to last overall. Also, I killed the fan on my last laptop by forcing it to play a game it just barely fit the minimum specs for (fallout 3) so I’m hesitant about pushing this one too much. I already had to factory reset it once because installing portal 2, which it theoretically could run, made it absolutely shit itself and stop responding.
Bad: i saw a dead squirrel D: Good: shortly afterward i got to chat with someone i hadnt got to talk to in a while and then got a good smoothie
bad news: fridge is busted so stuff isn't being cooled and is probably gonna spoil/melt/etc while dad tries to get it fixed good news: the ice cream turned super soft without me needing to let it sit out in a bowl until it gets all soft like usual. I'm eating it rn and it is divine
Bad news: Currently sick for the first time in years. Good news: Re-reading an old book I really liked!
Good news: with only one shot to go, kitty is feeling much better! Bad news: this means she now has the energy to try and murder anyone who tries to get her her various medications :'D
bad news: got my tax forms back in a thick, important-looking envelope from the IRS good news: because i forgot to sign them. all i have to do is sign and send them back
Good news: I has a new and exciting secrit project Bad news: I can't talk about it on my usual channels (and gosh *do i want to talk about it* because it's a present and i dont want to spoil the surprise
Bad news: I messed up and didn't keep proper track of how many refills I had left on two of my meds, one of which is my adhd meds. The pharmacy could give me an emergency refill that'd do me for a week for the other med (my allergy meds), but it'd be borderline illegal (if not actually Super Illegal) for them to give me an emergency refill of the adhd meds. Good news: All I need to do is go to the walk-in clinic I usually do and get new prescriptions for both. I've got enough left of the adhd meds to last me through to the end of next week at least. We're going to the clinic on Tuesday, because the hours for tomorrow are god-awful and Monday's a statutory holiday. Bad news: I don't have nearly as much of the allergy meds left as I thought I had, and taking them regularly will not last me to when I can get to the clinic. Good(?) news: I can survive skipping a couple days of those if I have to.
