news, in the form of a dialogue

Mom: ok I've decided, the washing machine is still working after a month so I'm not going to worry about overflow

Me: yay! No more sitting in the laundry room!

    ---
    The bathrooms: ...

    The bathrooms: ...

The bathrooms: YOOO WHO WANTS A TON OF SEWAGE WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR AGAIN. YOU MUST REALLY WANT A LOT, YOURE ALL OUT OF TOWELS

Me: oh yeah it rained pretty heavy today. Oops.

Edit: I'm so fucking glad we're moving relatively soon

Bad news: Roxy has fleas :(

Good news: I'm p sure I caught it early, none of the buggies looked like fully mature adults. And Roxy is???? So good in the bath? She just sat there and sniffed at the water then started purring when I was lathering her up with the shampoo.

Baaaaad-ish news?: She's still a sopping wet kitten and now she's trying to rub on me and snuggle. No, kitty, do not want!

bad news: we got home at 3 am last night (this morning?) and I got about 9 hours sleep, so I probably won't be able to sleep for a while. I liked that sleep schedule :( also I'm thinking about gender and brain stuff and it's making me frustrated! and I can't not think about anything because then I might start worrying about the 59 clown emojis my friend sent me.
good news: I'm home! the trip I was on had fun weather and I saw some really cool landscapes! I have things to do, but they're achievable things, and there aren't too many of them, and a lot of them are fun. also tomorrow I have a lovely rpg. and I can probably journal the gender stuff out, or at least try :0

Bad news: awful day at work
(raining, had to split out a route, had to case / prep two routes aLONE, my regular being a bitch) highlight of which was a customer yelling at me because I didn't put a package in his mailbox (it was TOO BIG TO FIT) :(

GOOD NEWS: ANNIVERSARY COMING! AM PROPOSE TO PARTNER IN TWO WEEK! EXCITE!

  8. Acey

Acey draw the line dividing laugh and scream

Good news: I’ve lost a lot of weight (healthily!) since last fall—I was at 220, and now I’m around 185!

Bad news: This means that basically all of my pants and shorts have gotten wayyyy too big on me and I need to wear a belt with them 99% of the time. (I do not find belts terribly comfortable, either.) I also don’t know my current size, so I can’t order any.

Good news: My mom has agreed that when we visit my Papa in Spokane next month, we can go to Torrid and she’ll finance some pants that ACTUALLY FIT!

Bad: Most of the guys at my local larp are 6'3" or taller. I'm about bicep-height on them, which means my head is right at shield height when they barn-door open, and I get hit in the face with shields every once in a while, which sucks.

Good: I'm getting a lot of practice fighting people a lot taller than me, so my medium-short ass isn't clueless when facing down the goddamn walking mountains that tend to dominate the tournaments around here.

Many good news/bad news today y'all

    Bad News
    • the landlord has sent me yet another essay of a response to further delayed rent, suggesting she might give us a notice
    • Chevy is sneezing a bunch now today which worries me
    • I have to reset my sleep schedule for midnights and watch mind-numbing training videos all day today
    • very socially burnt out after having people pretty well constantly over
    • still no employment insurance >:c
    • the further-mentioned job is one I was miserable with for years;
    Good News
    • I got a job today!! yay!!
    • while I was miserable there, I have since addressed mental health issues that made it worse
    • my ROE (record of employment) was FINALLY submitted by my last employer, which caused the delays in EI
    • I should get backpay on all the time missed with EI and therefore,
    • within a month or so I should have my rent and current bills up to date
    • we got a bit of money donated that means we can take Chevy to a vet appointment tomorrow without worry
I guess math wise I have had a perfectly medium day lolol

    keltena Probably Exists

Bad news: Random Pain For No Good Reason continues to be a dumb condition and I don't like it. Go ahead, nerves, keep screaming all you want that I'm doing terrible harm to my body by writing ~20 sentences by hand and (*gasp*) sitting down sometimes. I'm not convinced, and I'm not stopping.

Good news: I helped make sure dinner happened! By which I mean my brother did 90% of the cooking, but I bought the groceries and made sure both the buying and cooking actually happened. Together we equal approximately One (1) Functional Adult! :toot:

bad news: feeling eh about my tabletop contribution today, I think I was somehow simultaneously too quiet and too loud, and that made my pretty bad roleplaying less tolerable, or at least I feel bad about it. and I miss my friend and I didn't get to talk to her afterward bc she had to go. also I am still sick.
good news: it was a really cool session!! our 17th c pirate party messed up and TPKO'd in a storm and then woke up in a sci-fi version of their lives, which is a very cool way to do a surprise rpg system change. and that's exciting! and writing it out helps me think, huh, maybe the way to proceed with having an off session... is not to beat myself up about it. also it is probably not too late to get at least one hug in this household.
