Look, carrying a gallon of canal water 3km is ABSOLUTELY gonna wreck my shit for the rest of the week and I am VERY LIKELY gonna be in mass amounts of pain by tomorrow But it was worth it because now I have tadpoles in my room :D
Bad news: I’m starting to think I broke my finger yesterday half falling down the stairs. Good news: it’s my middle finger so plenty of jokes to be had
Bad news: a 45K word fic I spent months on only got 4 kudos. Good news: It's a fic for an incredibly small fandom that averaged a consistent four and a half views a chapter with every weekly update. 4 kudos when probably a grand total of 5 people read it is an incredibly high rate.
Good news: I got a refurbished iPad! Bad news: There was some mishandling of the parcel, and it came with a (physically) broken home button. Good news: The seller is being great about it, and a replacement is being sent! (I'm sending the broken one back, of course--they plan on filing a claim with the postal service due to it having been broken in transit.)
Good news: I have a cute new bedside table! Bad news: this so-called ""dresser""" does not at all match the size specs in its listing, and now I still need a dresser :/
bad news: corona is making it hard to safely meet my long distance bf good news: I am really fucking head over heels for this boy
Bad news: it's half eight at night and I have to work (have to watch a webinar related to COVID vaccinations) Good news: I managed to figure out how to stream a single chrome tab to my television, which means I can still use the computer while I watch this webinar.
Good news: there’s a branch of my very small bank in my city now! Bad news: they’ve been there for at least three years and now they think I’m a dumbass for not knowing. Good news: banks are really efficient now! Bad news: I haven’t physically been inside a bank since 2014 and my understanding of how they work is seven years and a few technological leaps behind. Good news: my cash tips turned into digital money in my account as soon as the machine counted and ate them, so I didn’t have to worry about not being able to access my money for three days while my deposit processed. Bad news: my bank teller really, really thinks I’m dumb. It took three times as much back and forth as it should have for me to grasp that the money was already in my account when she said “today,” “right now,” and “you can check your account and see your deposit right now, ma’am.”
sometimes, you just have to accept that today you will be the idiot that someone complains to their coworkers about on their break. we all take our turn in the idiot box u_u
I've started training for my new job and I'm really bad at all of it its extremely embarrassing and I feel like they will just let go of me after the 2 weeks training for sure In other news I told a crush that I liked them, and they returned my feelings, and I can't help but feel a little giddy at a little romance
Good news: I saw a rat outside 7-Eleven last night! Bad news: I was unable to get my camera open in time to photograph this creacher u_u
Good news: my date was really fun, I had a great time, and he's sweet and funny. Bad news: I now cannot concentrate on my job because I literally cannot stop smiling
Bad news: after the second date he just wants to be friends. Good? News: my self pity drove me to weed part of my patio today
bad news: my teaching colleague who was in a physical conflict w a student (tldr student started it and was not injured only physically restrained; nothing i've heard indicates to me that my colleague did anything wrong except maybe work here) has now gone on sick leave bcs the work environment following that incident has been HELL on him + the police report about this is a fucking mess and everything at work is awful good news: svsss gotcha for gaza has raised over 8000 dollars, are coming up on 800 received prompts, and is fun as hell. this is the only of the mxtx fandom gotcha for gazas that allows dead dove content and we are THRIVING. dicks out for charity
