i tried out my wheelchair! i’m heavy and my arms are weak! whee! how do people keep from going in the gutter? i kept rolling slantwise and on even the slightest slope i couldn’t hold it back without getting my hand hurt. i’m thinking we need to start out by going to parks and taking paved paths until my arms are much stronger. so i will be pestering my peeps to take me rollies. that’s like walkies but on wheels.
btw in those videos i love how he says “it’s beau again” in a tone like “raccoons are in the trash again” :D
last night seebs and i were lying in bed playing mobile games and chatting and relaxing. (we each have our own bedroom because i snore and seebs thrashes, but we like to hang out in one bed or the other until actual sleepytime.) hermes wedged himself between us like a toothpaste cat with no bones, and devy sprawled on our feet, while molly sat on my computer chair and mumbled softly to herself, because queens don’t cuddle pile, but they can be near if they want, thanks very much. it wasn’t too hot out so we had the window open. there were grumbles of thunder for a while. then it began to rain. it rained hard, but there wasn’t much wind, and we didn’t have to shut the window. no homeowner worries; just the feeling that it was nice to be safe and dry. one of the crickets we keep for the toad started chirping. it was a time of perfect peace and happiness.
went rollies with barb. i just did a loop around the war memorial and hit the pokestops there. it was hard and my arms are sore, but workout sore, not Something Is Wrong sore, so i like it. and it doesn’t hurt my spine or spine adjacent danger zones at all, even when i’m really leaning into it. getting the wheelchair was a good move.
I'm so glad it's working well for you! Also yay for you having a way to strength train and work out jitters that doesn't kill your back :D
I might be able to help with this a tiny bit (namely in terms of books that could lead to other books or point in the right direction) but some of it would be a dead giveaway for identity so do you mind if it's DMs?
sure, that's fine, thanks much! although i'm not sure i'm up to doing the library thing, so online resources would be ideal, do you know any like... travel blogs maybe? i'll take anything i can get, though, because that biome is just a big blank to me, and this character is a life mage and notices every damn frog.
Dear Jesse, Here is a waterbear who hopes you are having a good morning. I'll see you later today! <3<3 https://twitter.com/GRohac/status/1155919261493288961?s=20 -Aud Edit: And here are landbears. i went for a roll around the park and soaked up some vitamin D, got some exercise for my arms. gon get SWOLE. and barb found a perfectly preserved dead cicada, which she kept, and a live irridescent green beetle, which she did not. then we stopped by the bike shop to get me some gloves, because the wheelchair was hurting my hands. turns out not rolling into a ditch involves a lot of friction braking with your palms. ow. now it is time to do research on china! and perhaps write a bit! with the windows open! what a good way to spend a gorgeous day.
