(I can't wait for folks here to get to Kaidan. It's my favorite part of the story, and I considered this game my favorite before Kaidan came out)
How do I get to Kaidan even? From what I've heard Tokyo comes after Transylvania, but I went back to Seoul and Bong Cha told me to take a vacation!
There's a storyline with Venice that transitions from Transylvania to Tokyo. It should trigger when you go to Agartha next
Btw, if you haven't already, I highly reccomend making sure you've done issues 5, 6 and 7 before Tokyo. Things will make a lot more sense that way
Ooo, could I have the smashing squash pumpkinhead, clawed black leather gloves, a white nightcap, a green nightcap, and a woolen pompom hat if nobody else has claimed alla this thank yooooou <3
SCENARIOS ARE A PAIN IN THE DICK. (I prooobably should have waited to do the Venetian Agenda, but I got the phone call when I was in Agartha and just... went for it.) Now I'm reading guides and trying to figure how how this custom gear stuff works and what stats I should put on it. Do we ever find out what the hell happened to Emma?
Biomechanicaltomato has some good guides there on the forum I linked you. If you want build help, feel free to ask her or me! They get easier once you learn the paths enemies take from spawns. They are still a pain in the dick and take way too long even once you're killing things as fast as they spawn :/. Fortunately, I think you only have to successfully complete one now? Spoiler: Mini spoiler Yes.
I'd read her guide, and then completely forgot about it when I actually did the scenario. :') Fortunately I'd set it to 'noob' and managed to just scrape a silver rating, and that was enough. The most painful thing was definitely how LONG it took. But now I'm freeeeee~ I'll def. ping one of you for build advice soon, now that I'm getting into purple gear. Spoiler: re: mini spoiler Good, because I was Fuss that at the end of Transylvania you go into the Dreaming Prison looking for her and she's nowhere to be found, just that wheedling voice doing the abusive parent routine again. I locked it back up and like to think that afterward Crow danced away with middle fingers upraised.
@Mercury Spoiler: mini-spoiler Now would be a good time to do issues 5, 6 and 7 if you haven't already ;) 7 starts right at the Agartha entrance to Besieged Farmlands
I've just finished Issue 7 and HOO BOY was that intense. Goddamn. Spoiler: Issues 5, 6, and 7 spoilers Issue 5 wasn't any slouch in the intensity department, though! Walking into the fog and chasing that song and all the while your breathing gets more and more labored... *shudder* Issue 6 was a nice breather in terms in funny moments, but FUCK that train. Or rather, dodging the tunnel lights and one spot where the floaty jumping controls meant I kept fALLING OFF THE FUCKING TRAIN! >:( I laughed when Crow pushed what's-his-face off of it, though, and I spotted Emma on the train platform at the end! Issue 7 is just... damn. That is some quality horror right there. Opening the door off of the bedroom in the Nursery and finding the hacked up body ringed with twenty or so baby dolls was sure A Moment, as was looking at the head doctor's files and seeing the exact place he'd fallen completely off the deep end and into the Filth. And the scene with Lilith. Holy shit.
The guys who got me into TSW took me through issue 7 when I was like QL 2 and I've done the same for others. It's so good and it just sucks people right in. I think @Nochi still hasn't forgiven me for that one. Spoiler I love the mood whiplash going from James Bond shenanigans to the fucking Nursery
Spoiler: Tokyo spoilers And then you get to the Fear Nothing Foundation and you're just going "...ayep, this is gonna be even worse than the Nursery, innit." Spoiler: later Tokyo spoilers, i11 maybe? not sure which issue "...by your hidden eighteenth name, I bind you." more like oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck i'm going to be the one Spoiler Samael blames for this aren't I.
Spoiler: Tokyo Spoilers Issue 9 more like Mood Whiplash Hell. I love how some of the creepiest missions in the game are given by the most ridiculous characters. The FNF mission actually triggered an anxiety attack for me. A+ job game, fuck you. It's one of my favorite missions for that.
I am nowhere near the level i need for this mission wow. I'll have to do some side missions to get up to level.
Yeah, that tends to happen now and then. It's not too bad a thing, IMO, there's a *lot* of stuff to explore and poke around and discover.
I bought the Call of the Nameless Collector's Edition thing for the Arabian Dreams outfit and I have many regrets. This outfit was not worth 3000 points. :I
So I'm trying very hard to break through analysis paralysis and actually come up with a new build. Pistol+Elemental seems like a bust - so few contact points (I picked purple pistols from Transylvania for no reason woo). But I do have the entire AR tree unlocked, and Suppressing Fire + some Frenzy Passives seems like a promising start! But what goes well with AR? What other weapons should I be looking into?
Assault Rifle + Pistols build is turning out pretty fun! Anyway, I'd like to do Road to Xibalba at least once before Krampusnacht ends. Anybody game for that?
Update: Group Finder wasn't popping so I went to LFG chat for like the second time ever. Hooked up with a cool person and their friend and we did normal Xibalba with no problems! Twice! Once for the dungeon mission, then again for achievements. After that they let me tag along to Blue Mountain to chase down the Resplendent Quetzal and get the End of Days lore! And after that, when I mentioned Nightmare Xibalba was the only one I had left, we even tackled that! Three-manning it turned out to not work, so they called up some friends and we got through it in just a couple more tries! So now I have all the End of Days achievements, the Maya museum piece, and the boss even dropped a purple talisman! Dang!!
Holy shit. Kaidan. Holy shit. I'm making my way through The Black Signal and this game is suddenly cool again.
