Oh, hey, I didn't see that thread. I played the whole game, and am waiting for the Holiday Star remake, which is getting released soon! Yay!

i finally got around to the bbl ending and i am still going "haha wtf?"

i mean it was amazing, just even more out-there than any of the previous plots.

Ok so has anyone else played Holiday Star yet? It's more of an interactive story than a game, but I'm one "episode" in and it's super entertaining.

I love Holistar a lot! It's got a lot of the same holy-shit-suddenly-horror-in-my-cute-bird-game flavour to it as the original, and surprise terror is absolutely what I'm here for.

...not Hatoful, but apparently there's a similar birds-doing-people-things game called Avian Attorney out and I was wondering if anyone had played it? I keep intending to, but I keep not having the time for games.

I'm playing it now. Well, not now now, but I haven't finished it and I'm trying to.

I am on a train in space. What.

Also ep 3 opened with "Nageki just came out to me" and given that he is a shy bookworm like yours truly I am tempted to headcanon him as a trans guy, especially since he's described as looking a bit faded and typically male mourning doves are more vivid than the females.

I personally headcanon Anghel as a trans guy as well (and yeah, possibly Nageki?), but other people with that headcanon can be incredibly annoying sometimes, so :/

@palindromordnilap Any particular reason for the trans Anghel headcanon?

Ok so the King being a mass consciousness of birds who were scared and hurt, and who became one because if everyone's the same then no one gets hurt, and is now saying that Nageki should die in a fire because he's a threat because he and the protag want to leave... is a very apt parallel to Seebs vs the antis.

Well, people started saying "He's short and his human form has bandages over his chest, he must be trans!", and while that's pretty stupid, I went "sure, why not" because I do kinda like the idea.

Aaah, I kind of forgot about the human forms.

    HELLO THREAD I AM BACK

so in the last couple months my gf and i have accidentally written a 75K word (so far) hatoful boyfriend (post-holistar) RP. whoops.

and yeah, trans guy nageki is a thing that i have always headcanon'd for some reason.

I'm like 20k into a fanfic that will never see the light of day myself because I'm just that desperate for post-BBL Sakuya character progression.

I don't know why I care about this stupid bird so much.

So, I'm playing through the last part of Holiday Star, and I just remembered something.
I saw a SJ blogger who was kin with The King a while ago, and now I realize it was incredibly appropriate.

Oh, and apparently, no matter how many 'i's you add at the end of the "nageki" tag on Tumblr, you find posts.
(Well, the last one where I got something was "nagekiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii", but there could be more afterwards, who knows.)

    @palindromordnilap

SPOILERS AHEAD. i don't know how far you are in HS, but. be warned.

oh boy, i think i may have just quarreled with the same blogger. they explicitly identified as kazuaki, though, and not the king.

which is kind of funny! because kazuaki actually becomes king-kin, in a way, since he's taking on a new powerful and very fake identity as a form of escapism. so would someone identifying as kazuaki, but NOT the king, be OOC by not being double-kin? :P

also: every single kazuaki-kin/roleplayer i have seen is looking for fluffy romance with a hitori. AUGH, NO, WHY

Oddly enough, the kazuaki-kin I've seen are all "NOPE NO HITORI EVER". Specifying "Everyone except Hitori" on kin network things, putting "Do NOT tag as Quail Boyfriends" below their art featuring the two of them, and all that stuff.
