I think you mean Gloria by Angelic Pretty? Baby/AatP don't give prints such short names :) and I'm an Angelic Pretty brandhor so I know the print you're talking about, it's beautiful but not for me. Mozarabic Chant is amazeballs. You have GOOD TASTE. BeeTeeDubs, the most plus-friendly burando I own (aside from Maxicimam Lovely, which is a specifically plus size line) is probably Triple Fortune. Their corsets and tights are for tiny people, but their OPs and skirts are incredibly generous. Not when I was playing it. It has its own weird little ankh symbol which is like the love child of an ankh and a cross, but I've never seen it inverted.
Please ignore how shitty I look in this pic (I ended up missing a week of work due to the flu 2 days later and was already ill, and this pic ended up on BTB because people are asshats) but that's a Triple Fortune skirt over a Bettie Page/Tatyana petti and as you can see the shirring is nowhere near fully stretched even though my waist is 38 inches and my hips are 44. Bolero, belt and shoes are from the Edgy Juniors Plus Dept at Nissen (Japanese equivalent of Sears/Target/JC Penney), headbow is Angelic Pretty and blouse is Atelier Pierrot. Blouse looks better without bolero but I had fucking cold chills that night because catching the flu.
I was thinking about this one! http://lolibrary.org/apparel/gloria-~beautiful-glassy-saint-mary~jeanne-jsk But AP's is also really cute. I think I'm going to take advantage of the last few days of chilly weather and try giving Mozarabic Chant another spin... If I can find my off white stuff that matches :/
I'm thinking it was maybe a Sabbat thing then? And possibly not until Revised, which I had very little exposure to.
My friend Däch has used an inverted ankh for eternal death since about the early 90s, so it's been around for at least that long. I've seen crosses with the Devil instead of Jesus on them, or broken ones, or with other symbols overlaid. Mostly just among the Edgy Satanist crowd, granted.
sOMEBODY MENTIONED V:TM anyone have any idea how to get into goth? i don't have the First Clue what constitutes goth music/fashion, but my wardrobe *is* 75% black clothing (it just goes so well with everything) and i love what i've seen of the aesthetic so far.
Turn three times widdershins under an old oak and quote Voltaire under the light of a new moon while smoking a clove cigarette.
I ain't doing anything widdershins anywhere near an oak. Or a well or a fountain. That's how people fucking die and make rivers. YOU THINK I WANT TO DIE AND MAKE A RIVER? NO.
if i settle for partially goth will an old cherry tree, poe, and earl grey tea do instead edit: ok but my fave thing about poe is how beautiful some of the lines from The Raven are when it's essentially just "lonely man yells at cloud bird"
@Ruevian omg omg those are gorgeous If liquid lipstick is more anyone's style, I can personally heartily recommend Black Moon Cosmetics. Gorgeous colors including some lovely dark metallic ones, fantastic staying power and feel super soft on your lips.
*0* do want in other news, i went ahead and ordered the accessory and cosmetics mystery bags from goodgoth because that's a pretty low-risk way to see if i like their shit :p am excite!
I want that gold one but holy shit I wish cosmetics companies were as eager to tell you they are gluten free as they are to tell you they're vegan, which I personally do not have a shit to give about.
