also sorry if i'm godmodding at any point— i just figure it should be a close fight! if werewolf hunters can be as scary as erskin thinks, it'd be lame for this guy to be taken out right away.

 

i was wondering how fucked up and sad it would be if this guy was like an ex-marine with a backstory uncomfortably similar to bel's— his unit got ate by werewolves in afghanistan— but in this case he comes home without the infection, finds out that there's more werewolves and they're in america, his home soil, preying on his own people, CIVILIANS, KIDS. and he goes and signs the fuck on with the first werewolf hunter group he can get in contact with.

 

i wonder if bel could get involved in whatever werewolf-hunting operation recruits pissed off, confused veterans. and like. disrupt it. is he a pissed off werewolf survivor? yep. is he also now one of the filthy fucking commie terrorist monsters? also yep. is his boyfriend cute or what? super yep.

i feel like if dad kadros finds out that bel very nearly bit it due to WEREWOLF HUNTERS BECAUSE THOSE ARE A THING like right in boundary waters he might eagle-dad the shit out of the situation in terms of stuff bel back in the nest and sit on him. like i would not be ok with my son traipsing off to fucking alaska if apparently the local park is shanksville usa. i guess we can figure it out when we come to it!

but anyway alex kadros to the rescue could be cool. erskin could do his best to get bel stable. i was thinking erskin would be paranoid enough to want to drag bel further into the woods and hide him in case of extra werehunters, and not trust anyone but alex.

 

Nice, good. I think Erskin wouldn't be at all happy about people combing the woods. Like, are they hunters come to finish them off, or rescue people? have the hunters infiltrated the rescue people? Who knows! But he could sniff out Alex maybe and lead him over to where he's stashed Bel.

 

Also even if he can't get his shit together enough to talk, he could still listen to Alex on the phone, when they get reception. And like, bark once for yes, or something. Maybe once Alex arrives he could call on the phone or something. The idea of two people doing the 'i'm trying to find you' cellphone dance when one of them is currently a dog is pretty amusing.

 

I like the idea of erskin taking care of him for an hour or two-- maybe keep bel semiconcious?

 

I wonder, if Erskin gets Alex and drags him privately over to where Bel is, if Alex could talk Erskin through calming down and getting into human form, to tell him what happened?

 

that makes sense! the paramedics and rescue guys will probably need alex to at least calm down his son's scared and bitey service dog. but they'd probably go into the situation expecting that.
