pls consider: erskin going pretty much vertical to sling his elbows over bel's shoulders; erskin having to lock every joint to keep from tipping over when bel leans on him

ok here are some 'what is happening' proposals:

woofs: pancho and erskin head off to the local sandwich shop, meeting aspera sr on the way. maybe they swing by the lakeside because erskin needs a run, and this is when pancho get sniped.

space navy: maybe some interaction with twitch, pancho has presumably checked her out already and so can see if twitch is doing better or has plateaued or whatever. when lu is up for it / when dinner is over, pancho can go give lu a check-up and diagnose various things.

 

would you mind woofs? idk if aud's around or feels like writing RP stuff, for the space navy au, and i am enthusiastic about more spies and violence. and for more lord aspera being an extravagantly gallant motherfucker. he's fun.

 

here's something interesting: ethiopian wolves and american red wolves look a lot alike! even more interesting, red wolves look more like coyotes than ethiopian wolves, who look kind of like jackals, who they couldn't possibly have bred with. convergent evolution is neat.




points of difference: ethiopian wolves seem to have different banding on the tails, no black bridling on the body, consistently short fur, narrower snouts, and somewhat thinner ears. the bib and socks seem to be generally more defined. also the ethiopian population is pretty homogenous, while the red wolf population seems to be basically tabby, with varying coloration even among litters. you wouldn't ever mistake an ethiopian wolf for a grey wolf, either, while red-furred grey wolves and dark-furred red wolves can look nearly identical, especially in winter coats. still, i bet erskin would be most frequently mistaken for one when he's traveling through the african and asian continents.

i think both ethiopian werewolves and erskin would be offended if they were mistaken for dholes, who aren't wolves at all and thus probably can't even carry the werewolf trait.
