Boat Trolls planning thread! (full of spoilers, non-players enter at your own risk)

um how start... get jethro out the door, then timeskip a week? erskin will be back on his feet and but still very thin and easily tired. recovering from shit always takes so much longer than going through it.

 

i like that. maybe whitey gets in slightly ahead of captain pain in the ass and can give erskin some hellos and fussing before it's go time? it never rains but it pours i.e the sunslammer goes weeks without a job and then gets two or three ships all at once.

 

you said he was really lonely, i think? and he and lainey got along well when they were drinking and playing cards. and lainey knows whitey is going to be a significant player on the ship and in erskin's affections. so she would absolutely befriend him, and because he's pretty and highblooded, she'd also be angling to tap that. she's out to have a good time— and ensure she KEEPS having a good time— but she'd be systematically pulling whitey's levers to see what kind of stuff he responds to best, then using that to manage him. keep him agreeable, get him to show up when she wants him and do what she asks and then go away when she's done.

i don't think she'd like him on the level of arguus and whitey, but she does have genuine affection for the people she collects. so she wouldn't be faking the friendliness, or making promises she won't keep. whitey would know they were chill FWBs, not anything more.

ooh, i think most of those are things lainey likes to do but erskin and arguus don't as much. so she'd be happy to have another gal-style pal. i think she's got a number of good old friends on board, but her rank ensures a certain amount of distance, even on such a relaxed ship.

don't do that, i'm going to be passing out any moment! also i think it's cute that their horns match. i bet it's like a troll zodiac thing, a superstition. 'oh, you'll get along if your horns match'. so a lot of people don't take it seriously, but still think it's nice.

The troll word for diplomacy , by the way, has a lot more to do with 'supremacy' than the human term. Also 'threat' 'extortion' and 'firepower'.

Actually i think it most accurately translates to 'drop a bomb on 'em'.
