i am still game for Fisticuffs With Strangers, but i am much distracted by late, hungry, incoming thunderstorm, and the sudden urgent imperative to make overnight cinnamon bread, so i think you would have to introduce them.

 

haha i made the bread dough STAGE ONE COMPLETE!!! but forgot to get any food for myself. oh well, it hasn't been all THAT long since dinner. :P

btw, if they demand his flyer, he'll let them take it and then report it stolen, and they'll get to have funtimes with whatever the rental biz uses for enforcers. so like... i guess that wouldn't be very exciting for us. whoops.

btw, at the first sign of an attack, bel's going to throw the knife at the psionic. he doesn't have to kill the guy, just distract him enough to keep him out of the fight. bel's still really conscious of how erskin doesn't like him to kill folks.

it occurs to me that erskin probably doesn't understand that bel's courage comes from basically having a weird morbid deathwish. not that understanding would probably help lol.

 

i think that would be good, actually, and i think bel might really listen this time.

 

naw, it's more like he's been a child soldier so long that death is unreal and kind of interesting where it pertains to himself. he's super squicked by cruelty, as witness his reaction to cloris. but death is just business as usual, and he genuinely doesn't expect to live very long. he's got a bit of a war boy 'awaited in valhalla' thing going on, tbh. he just keeps it quiet because it freaked out pancho when he first told her about it. :P

... not that i know what argument erskin could make against bel's position. 'fight for the empire until you get killed' and 'rebel against ridiculous odds' pretty much ARE their only options. :/
