it's sort of funny to consider that if bel were a girl erskin would be constantly, distractedly bonking into doorways, instead of merely considering him to be handsome and particularly cute when he smiles.

 

I don't think Lainey would be admitting anything about Erskin at all to Whitey, right down to whether or not he was just three lowbloods in a trenchcoat. She'd be making up for her grossed-out guilt at using Erskin as bait to get Whitey here by stonewalling the shit out of letting Whitey actually access him, if that makes sense?

Also I can't explain why but the thought of Whitey using some cute girl as bait to lure Erskin over makes me really uncomfortable, I wouldn't want to play that.

 

Also we should noodle out the whole Lusus Thing. I don't know where to start tho. Maybe you could write some questions? and we could work on answering them...

 

a good point! we could have erskin nervously psyching himself up to go 'thanks but no thanks' to whitey and then... uh, there's his actual lusus.

 

What if Pancho finds out that Whitey and Lainey are having some absurd shmoozing session and just waltzes in and takes the lusii back.

Also I was under the impression that Whitey didn't know he'd be adversely affected by the bond, since it doesn't generally go off over video? so he thought it would only be Erskin who was going to get yanked around by it, and was hence eager to meet up with him to start manipulating him.

 

ok, makes sense! would it work for bel to pay him and then lainey to bundle him back on his ship with a lot of empty promises while he's wasted, so we don't have to actually deal with any of this?

 

btw my fucking phone's acting up so my rp posts are going to be more sporadic than usual when i'm out and about.

 

carmin's a little female rustblood who works as a repair grunt, i don't think i wrote anything else about her. she's got minor psi, enough to move tools and components around and to really mess someone up in a fight. probably the kind of girl that would make regular-universe erskin shit his pants and hide under a couch. in this AU i think she's about his age or younger. i think she's fretful and bitter but i don't think you can actually hold being fretful and bitter against alternian dirtbloods.

in the medbay is probably a lot of recuperating zombies, so, super mellow, sleepy, vague trolls recovering from various injuries and getting rehydrated and snuggling with their ecstatic friends and quadrantmates. carmine might be handcuffed to the cot? and have psi restraints on her horns? idk.

the trolls in favor of culling her are a bunch of midbloods who like erskin a lot but also think he's a huge peacenick dipfuck who needs to be protected from the harsher realities of the world, i.e, when someone tries to kill you, you should try to kill them back. they're gonna be like 'yeah, the captain said not to kill her, but, come on.'.

they also just want to blow off steam from having been through a very scary week, carmin's probably done the most damage, of the zombies, and i think pinning all your negative emotions on the first person who's done something bad and then lynching them is an activity a lot of humans and trolls probably have in common.
