I have been reading Yuletide Goblin Emperor fic all day, and I kept misreading "Beshelar" as "Bel," and now I really want a goblin emperor AU. Nohecharis Bel frustrated with flighty and secretly terrified Erskin VII! Or straight-laced-and-baffled-but-trying-so-hard-to-be-good His Serenity Belatu Kadros and that weird half-goblin maza with all the scars and Erskin the courier! I'm so into it.
ok but any way you slice their names just makes me giggle. is it kadrar or kadrosar? sounds like hadrosaur. ETA: erskin's name would definitely need to get chopped up differently, considering that -in is the suffix for an unmarried girl. like his name translates to miss ersk. at least asperar sounds good, though not very elvish. no zh's or cs's anywhere!
