i wish articles wouldn't do that thing where they remind you that you're supposed to be arachnophobic. imagine doing that with any other animal. "this picture of alligators will horrify you!" "prepare to shudder and gag -- it's penguins!"

It sort of happens with sharks sometimes, but yeah.

My main takeaway is that big huntsmans provide food to their smaller juvenile cuddlemates and that's adorable.

This giant lady decided that she wanted to share my bed tonight.

Fortunately for her I was watching a vid and noticed before she suffered me rolling over and squishifying her. She was very quick and active, and not at all threatened by me or my torch. Managed to get her in a pint glass before she tried to disappear up my pyjama leg...

Gorgeous markings on her, a bit obscured by Leg and the fact she would not sit still. Unusual to see a specimen of the species out and about at this time of year, honestly.
