We do have a lot members-only, but there might be enough visible for someone's Secret Identity to be compromised, which may make folks uncomfortable. I think we're probably okay too, just thought it might be worth discussing. /shrugs?
On some forums, when you visit a thread, a number shows up at the bottom indicating how many people are currently viewing that thread. Any way that could happen here?
I don't know. There's stuff like that, but I think I turned off a lot of the "show what people are doing" because I'm favoring a very strong default-privacy assumption.
https://kintsugi.seebs.net/threads/show-yourself-the-obligatory-pics-thread.176/page-9 is glitching or something. i dunno.
this has most likely already been requested but I do not have the spoons to go through this thread and read all the replies: a "hug" button or a more general "support" button so you don't have to like people's sadness
Yeah, I've been thinking about that, not sure whether there's an easy way to do that, or just rename likes, or something.
Would it be possible to set up an option for alerts when someone you follow posts, or is the list of things for which you can get alerts pretty much fixed?
So far as I know, the alert set is built-in to the software. They might be able to add a thing, I probably couldn't.
Signature-display may be off by default, and I'm not sure whether I can easily change it, so, uhm, they will sometimes not show up?
Is there a way to display time alongside date on a post from more than a week ago? Alongside that, is there a way to change the date from being, for example, Friday, back into, say, 6/12/2015?
Hm. Will test on both computers (currently on phone). Just want to know exact chrono of when some images were posted/breaking news was broken.
So long as there's at least one way to do it my concern will be assuaged, but maybe having time stamp options would also be neat. No urgency, just idle musing.
I don't think I can change my own username, but is it possible for a mod to do it? I am curious if the possibility exists to change my username retroactively on my posts rather than making a new account and jumping ship to it for new posts.
Is it possible to block someone from a thread? Self control is apparently not a thing today and im losing my shit at caa.
