Boreas kid(who still needs a name holy shit I'm usually not this bad with names) is at camp

And I'll need more specifics on the quest before I start rhyming them

 

what specifics do you require, I shall do my best to provide
also Aria, the NPC Boreas kid, is also at camp, she is purely existing so people have others to talk to

 

Well...hm. Where the helm is, who has it, and a few things that will definitely happen on the quest. So I can obscure them all poetically! : P

 

PLOT HOLE THAT NEEDS FILLAGE: where is hades for all this? bc if he's around, there's no reason why he couldn't like.....go get his shit himself and get everyone back under control lol

 

presumably, similar deal as to why Zeus couldn't go get his shit in the first book
gods have to act through their kids

 

ummm.
maybe it could be hidden on Mount Othrys? home of the Titans during the ten-year war with the gods of Olympus, probably a decent place to hide out with a stolen helm
what should it be guarded by
also who should have taken it, because I haven't contemplated that yet, or why they took it
a few things that will definitely happen....well, they'll definitely fight the chimera!

 

The other thing, is who arranged it to be stolen, and why.

 

except in the first book, Percy was actually the suspect and he got sent on the quest in order to clear his name
and they were trying to stop a war between the gods from happening, because Zeus was like "Poseidon you used Percy to steal my thunderbolts and as a result I am going to declare war if they are not returned ASAP"
soooooo I'm thinking whoever stole it might have been trying to incite war. and Hades is like "I don't see how it could have been any of my brothers as they don't currently have children to work through", maybe? and so the group gets sent on a quest to try and find the real thief, and retrieve the helm. and Hades tries to keep this all a secret because he figures that the other Olympians won't help him and might also think he's losing his touch, what with this being the second time the helm's been stolen.

edit: maybe Hades, being busy trying to keep this all a secret, can't go and get his helm back himself because he's...busy trying to keep this all a secret.

very true. and since the gods don't pay a ton of attention to their kids, even when their kids are going on quests, it presumably wouldn't be too difficult to keep what the kids' quest was a secret from the rest of the gods.

they have to leave in the dead of night so as to not alert the camp.
....maybe Rachel really does show up and Oracle at Adara and Lark while they're on a date, and the two go and tell their friends, who happen to be the other people mentioned in the quest thing, and then they all sneak out of camp in the dead of night to go on the quest
