tbh I forgot about the cell phone thing until just now
but Adara kinda also probably said fuck the rules, because the rule is 'no electronics', as far as I know, not just 'no phones'. I think lots of kids would probably say 'fuck that rule', because....let's be real here, what teenager wants to go without their electronics? Adara probably has an iPod from like six generations ago, but no phone, since an iPod wouldn't give off the same kind of thing as a cell phone, and cell phones apparently only give off the signal when being used to call people anyway.

 

Larkspur definitely went fuck the rules, because she is a rebel!!1!! and also because she couldn't be bothered to do anything like give her technology away or something.
