just did a quick peek back and it looks like the original plan was helm-recovery?
yeah, original idea was like, child of Eris stole Hades's helm of darkness because "I CAN DO THINGS TOO MOM PLEASE LOVE ME"
honestly whatever we end up doing, if it's a quest-deal (which I wanna keep), I kinda want to keep the culprit being SOMEONE causing chaos, but that's mostly because I really like the idea of just. Eris kid. "mom mom look what I can do mom aren't you proud of meeeeeee"
that said though
if we do a new quest
we'll have to come up with a NEW PROPHECY
.....which I can promise I absolutely cannot do, I'm not great with four to six line rhyming poems that are also Cryptic Yet Informative about What Is To Come
I vote we stick we Quest Shenanigans, because anything involving awkward road trips is always fun
i can definitely do the prophecy once we figure out the deets of what we're doin :O
so I guess then the question is
does anyone have concepts besides "Hades's helm is stolen"
....I would offer ideas but my creativity juices are apparently dead at the moment :/
:3c i do like hades helm is stolen....other than that, maybe a rescue mission of some sort? alas, alack, dryad steve has been kidnapped by a group of [insert enemy monster]!!! dryad steve is naiad jeff's boyfriend :( we need to rescue him, etc.
rescue mission could be super fun
I'm like....honestly down for either?
we COMBINE them somehow
the ULTIMATE IDEA
the only thing I can come up with is the person who stole the helm gets kidnapped themselves by a different being who wanted the helm or something but couldn't approach directly, and we end up having to rescue them and the helm even though original expectation was "we're only going out looking for the helm"
oooooooh i like that >:D someone stole it without realizing what they were getting themselves into and then going oh fuck
Y E S
i'm so into it
sorry i've been missing, i'm MOVING TO A NEW APARTMENT :D :D :D
a. heck yes this is the plot now
b. THAT'S AWESOME!!! I'm really happy for you :D!!!! congrats!
AND THANK YOU AHHHHHHHH
ITS SCARY BUT IM EXCITE
that's fair honestly
moving is hard
but I'm glad you're doing the thing and good luck :D!!!
ALSO okay so
....should we keep Eris child as original stealer of the helm, for "MOM LOOK MOM LOVE ME" reasons, and then have someone else have kidnapped her and the helm for (reasons to be thought of later), or should we have a new thief of the helm?
:D moving succeeded!!!!
Oooh, I like the stolen and then kidnapped thing
Should we like
Give her a connection with our characters somehow, for More Investment?
I think yes? bc it would Make Sense and also be Fun
yes!! so i know that both of you guys are at the camp and terri is kind of a lowkey vagrant who prolly just stumbles into the camp and is super not enrolled but definitely illegally chills for a bit, and maybe they happen to decide to leave the camp at around the same time that both of you want to go on the rescue mission? so they end up lowkey guiding you around, meaning to just peel out once the paths diverged, but then got invested in yall and ends up sticking around >:)
that sounds good to me!
so that leaves like....a few things to decide
a. how do the characters at camp know Eris kid, and also do both of our regular campers know her or just one and if one which one
b. should it be known from the start that the quest is given for both the helm AND getting back this kidnapped person, or should it just seem like we're off to do one or the other and then of course we learn it's both at some later date
...and then we need the PROPHECY.
I vote we start out knowing her from camp, and have her disappearance initially brushed off as "just one of those Eris kid things, she's probably fine" while the helm is the big problem
