reminds me of the time my char almost got a kismesis because we talked about it for ages in chat...and then before the real flirting could commence the rp died for unrelated reasons -screams at sky- i hope us all much better luck XD
Grey is the color of steel, right? And steel is totally related to smithing. If he wore all black it wouldn't fit him. Fuck it, all gray it is. (in somewhat in character)
omgg i wanna hug him got a bit of my gal's (i should really start playing boys again but ehhhh not now) backstory done, now which river god be her daddy, hmmm decisions.
So. The way I figure it, the way Poppy deals with all the traumatic things that have happened to her (Rose, a bunch of people dying in the push against Kronus when she was too young to be allowed to participate, things cooling down for a bit but then the stuff that happened in Heroes Of Olympus and her getting maimed in the big battle there - and she felt like she was lying there for a long time without her arm but with shock, who knows? and people she knows dying, etc). Anyway, she deals with it by working very very hard. If she works hard enough she doesn't have to think. She can polish her armor, she can clean the cohort house, she can run errands for people, she can train, she can volunteer for missions, just as long as she doesn't get time to think. But frankly this is worrying to people around her! Everyone in Camp Jupiter has been through trauma, and I can't imagine they're entirely unfamiliar with unhealthy reactions. So the exchange program was seen as a way to let a few people take well-deserved mental health breaks, and the second cohort nominated Poppy. But she feels like she's being punished because now she has time to feel things.
Oh also, one thing I forgot. She can make it rain or keep rain away, as the daughter of a harvest god! This is actually super useful, because all of the rain she creates smells like demigod. So if she or a team are out doing something and they know they're going to be too smelly and attract attention, the rain is great. It attracts more attention but acts as a smokescreen!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaa I feel so bad for Poppy ;~; Adara is....not dealing with her past memories of her mother. nah. nope. she just pretends it didn't happen. doesn't talk about it. claims her mom's dead and she came to camp because monsters, which is...at least partially true!
