I'm still not down off my "REMAKE REMAKE REMAKE" high, have been shouting a lot about Radiant Historia on Tumblr, and in the process revived a post from several years ago where somebody came up with some RH-themed white cards. (Cards Against Historia?) They'd already covered the critical ground of "Hell Spiders," "Setting your own city on fire," and "Ritualized human sacrifice," but I added some black cards ("Why did the world end this time?") and such important additions as "Hitting tornadoes with a sword," "Romantic advice so bad the world ends," and "Murdering your friends and lying about it."
OK, this one is probably not funny to anyone else, but that's precisely why I have to share it: my proudest card combination was [For his mid-life crisis, my dad got himself _____] [an eating disorder]. The reason for that was that my actual, real life dad has had a lifelong struggle with anorexia and had a really bad relapse when he was 45 or so. He ended up in the ER, he withered away, I was a teenager, it was very traumatic, and so on. So I thought this was hilarious. I'm eternally disappointed that nobody but me thought it was funny and I didn't win the round. Like "my dad went to the ER after passing out from malnourishment on the street and all I got was this bunch of uncomfortable stares and a CAH defeat".
