The magic words to get out of doing anything in my house is "Can't. There's a cat." and then you gesture helplessly to the cat or cats perched upon your person. Be sure to look really sad, like IF ONLY you didn't have Cat, you'd totally do the thing.

 

I keep trying to use that excuse with our dog, since he is a cat-sized and cat-like dog, but roomies just ask if I need help being rescued. And then they move him if I say yes.

Why would you be so terribly RUDE as to bring food that is dangerous for cat into cats house!?!?!?!!!
Ask Catsuggest, they agree, is terribly rude and mean!

now, if the cat asks for food, and you give it to them, and they don't like it, what do? :P

 

Cats are fickle! You just accept that the cat has changed their mind. Maybe they'll deign to share.
