Catching all 151, er, 368, er ... a lot: The Pokemon Infodump Party!

Late to the party, but OMG YESSS Sun and Moon. I'm pretty 'meh' about the Sun mascot (it's probably got Fire somewhere in its Typing, and we've just had a Fire lion), but the Moon mascot is so elegant and I love it. I don't like the starters as much as in Gen 5 and Gen 6, and I'm holding out on choosing one until I see their evolutions, but I'll probably go for Litten because I always end up going with the Fire starter. I'm excited about a setting based on Hawaii (even though Hoenn was also a volcanic island, I like that we're getting more regions based on IRL places outside of Japan), and I'm even more excited about the hinted return of trainer customisation (more hairstyle/colour variations, plz?)

 

Hey i saw someone on a different site point out that the legendary's faces kinda look like LED screens, so- maybe more mechanical pokemon? :D maybe they tie in with Magiana??? :DDDD that would be really cool and i am 100% more excited for them than i was to begin with, which is definitely saying something lol. Well, im excited for Moon. Like @Pumpkageist said, we already have a fire lion, and also are going to have two fire cat lines(litleo and litten) one after another gen-wise. It almost makes me hope for a new 'light' tpying or something, though i doubt that'll be the case.

Also hoping that litten is going to grow up to have any other secondary typing than dark bc then it'll just be like, a cat version of houndour(who is cute but is fine on his own). I could easily see poison, given that his fur is rich in oils, or rock type. And yes, black coloring usually points to dark type, but hear me out- volcanic rock is often black :D

 

Ooh, yes, a Fire/Poison type would be fantastic.

 

Fire/Poison could be a really interesting type. And it's one we haven't seen before. I really hope it's not rock/fire because that's a truly awful type combination. 4x weakness to ground AND water, rock, fighting, weakness... Those are all incredibly common attack types. Fire/Poison would mean it was the only other line besides Heatran with a 4x resist to Fairy.

 

Yeah fire/poison would be my first choice, but like i said i'll be pretty happy as long as its not fire/dark... Or fire/fighting. We have enough of those! *shakes fist*

 

By the way, NA folks. Apparently you've got until May 17th to get a shiny Xerneas (you lucky jerks!) on the Nintendo network. It's the only way to get a shiny X so it's pretty worthwhile.

So I saw Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions tonight.

It was fantastic. I cried a few manly tears... Okay, a lot of manly tears, as they played music of the last eighteen years of my life. I've been playing since the original Red on my classic brick gameboy and the memories it brought back, oh man...

 

ive never been so hyped for pokemon im fully embracing pokemon as my One True Fandom

MORE SHIPWRECKS, COMPLETELY SUBMERGED

MAYBE AN ITEM THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DIVE EVEN DEEPER

alpha sapphire has diving and a shipwreck and lots of underwater routes, filled with seaweed that functions like tall grass- adding underwater trainers and diving-accessible secret bases. all the rest that whimsical listed are FUCKING AMAZING IDEAS WHICH I FULLY SUPPORT THAT WOULD BE RADDDD

alpha sapphire is amazing (i am SUCH a hoenn fan even though i absolutely cant stand high moisture heat, i can stand high dryness heat which is very pleasant but not high moisture heat) and i kinda want something that goes above and beyond it with the diving stuff
sunken cities
thriving underwater cities
bases whichs entrances are below water, maybe completely filled with it (underwater themed furniture!), or partially
more places with tide mechanic
more places with current mechanic
