If it comes out in NA before this weekend(and sounds like it should) this convention is going to be something else! Im so excited! Like i remember when i went to acen when hgss and the pokewalker was big but that was like. Nothing compared to this.

 

i live in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing. the one pokestop even remotely nearby is the local gun club.

i don't want to go near the gun club.

 

A lot of people in my town play Ingress and a lot of data was pulled from there. There are 3 gyms near my house and like 10 pokestops. Now if only the servers were stable...

 

Anyone have tips for getting the gps to work? Im on a samsung galaxy note 4.

 

The servers are pretty much the biggest problem. Like SimCity 5.

 

Are you on wifi? That sometimes messes it up

 

@Technicality well... The gps thing isnt popping up anymore now that i switched to mobile data, but it keeps saying unable to authenticate.

Edit- tried looking that up specifically(since before i thought it was bc the gps wasnt working) and it looks like that might just be an issue with the server and ill just have to wait and try later.

 

Sometimes the servers go down-- I've noticed it happening at random, where I'll be having trouble with the GPS and resetting the app makes it fail to authenticate. They're still ironing out bugs probably!

We have a couple pokestops at random churches in the area, but heading up to the mall showed seven pokestops within about three minutes of each other, and two gyms less than ten minutes apart. It's the mall we go to pretty frequently too, which is awesome.

 

Not like im likely missing much lol. i live in the middle of absolute nowhere, so im guessing theres no pokestops or anything nearby and probably not a lot of pokemon. Which seems silly to me- youd think there'd be a lot more pokemon out in the country than in town.

 

The park across the street has like four Pokestops and a gym, and Pokemon keep showing up right in my apartment. :D

 

There are Venonats at the bottom of the stairs from my apartment!
