Mudsdale, aw yes. Not just a horse, but a draft? That's going on my team. Along with Rockruff, and Mimikyu, and Charjabug (did they really make a wall wart Pokémon yes they did), and... I really like the designs this gen, y'all.

I have high hopes for this gen. Will it surpass HGSS? Almost certainly not. Will it surpass X/Y, which were very good? I hope so!

 

Same, I think they're getting really creative with it this time around.

 

Heck yeah. Ken Sugimori must be feeling better, because I really think the designs are way on point compared to the B/W and even X/Y gens (yeah, I know, piling criticism on them is popular. I don't think they're bad - I just think they were kind of off-model for the universe).

I finally got a vulpix :D we're all bugs and grass-types around here with the odd bird every now and then, give me the smol floof!

i'm listening to a podcast and one of the hosts' sister is a lifeguard and apparently swims around in the ocean with her phone in a ziplock bag so she can catch magikarp

 

well that's one way to do it :P

Sis and I went to the local tourist trap the other day and found three other players just because she was screaming at a particularly stubborn magikarp that wouldn't stay in the ball, it was great

.. This morning I saw that the gym at my town library was not-well-guarded by weak Instinct Pokemon (I'm Mystic), so I walked over to try and take the gym over. I fought them once - knocking out the weakest one - paused to revive and heal my Pokemon. Fought them again - knocked out the second best - paused to revive and heal. Got distracted by discovering I had "Super Potions" now, and tried to figure out which Pokemon it made sense to give those to instead of regular potions -

Suddenly the gym was neutral.

Suddenly the gym was red!!

Valorous bastards taking advantage of my weakening it for them grumble grumble :P

 

Went out to Target, opened up phone because 'hey this is good chance to grind some walking for my eggs' and got SWARMED by five pokemon at once. I think I caught around 10 Ratatatas, 7 Pidgeys, 4 Weedles, 3 Caterpie, 1 Venonat, and 1 Scyther (!!!!!).

And then my game crashed when I tried to challenge a gym that had around eight people vying for control for it. It kept switching teams, which was really cool to watch in action.
