Also since you guys have seen the news, here are pics of the starters final evos that were leaked awhile ago with a lot of information that almost perfectly matches the news (these are almost guaranteed to be accurate). I have to admit I am not impressed, but I still enjoy Rowlet's.

I don't think there's such a thing as a confirmed fake with pokemon leaks until the dex is finalised or (in this case) the starter evos are officially released since GF/Nintendo never comment on them either way. The closest you can get is that they're not official or from CoroCoro. That said, IIRC think these were from the chinese leaks from a month or so back, and with much of the information from those leaks confirmed true (as of yesterday) AND one of the trainers in the pic basically being a match for Mallow (one of the tribal captains shown in the trailer), it's very likely (albeit not 100%) that these are the actual designs. I'm still hoping they're not but... ehhh.

also +1 on them being overdesigned. rowlet is my least favourite of the first stages but litten and popplio's evos are so meh that i might pick it anyway

 

that Litten evo looks terrible, I was hoping for something more elegant like I'd seen in fanart speculation. I want a fire panther, not...that.
if that's actually how their evolutions look, I'm switching to Rowlet, unfortunately
