earlier this year, whenever the starters came out, my brother called dibs on litten.
I was originally going to just go with rowlet, then popplio grew on me.. (i did like rowlet, just litten better)

i!! hatched a 10k egg today and i'm so happy oh gosh!!!!

So I mucked around a bit in my Pokebank b/c I was helping a friend breed some stuff (i got a polar pattern vivillon out of it omg fave pattern), and noticed that i hadnt yet finished my seasonal deerling & sawsbuck collection. specifically, i was missing the winter coat.
but hey, i've still got my black 2 version and it's a winter month! perfect, right?

well...
i'd finished that game, and transferred just about everything up to 6th gen and the pokebank already for my living dex.
what i had left: a lvl 22 pikachu, 2 lvl 1 oddish, and a lvl 7 lilipup. plainly visible, nothing that can fly.
and i was in accumula town.
for those of you who haven't played b/w2, or don't exactly remember -- the mons outside are lvl 55+.

luckily, i had some pokedolls stowed away for some reason, and chucked them at everything that came at me "_"

had two scares because of a trainer i had evaded, but those turned out to have mid-10s to mid-20ies mons, which were little challenge to the pikachu, espc after i tm'ed it thunderbolt.
grabbed a ducklett on the way to route 6 so now i can fly places again.

 

I JUST FOUND OUT THAT YOU GET STARDUST AND COINS FROM GYMS YOU CONTROL... i did not know this

I only got an Omanyte from my 10k egg :( I would have preferred a Lapras.

 

I hatched four eggs today, I am mighty, fear me

 

My last three hatches have gotten the shouted response of:

another fucking Zubat?!

My neighbor laughed at me.

 

so far i've got a syther and a lapras from 10k eggs, and i'm working on my 3rd now. the 5k eggs are meh so far but not awful. my most recent 5k was a drowse, which are kinda rare where i live so it wasn't bad. i also got an ekans from a 5k, which was not as exciting.

i don't want to waste my incubators on a weedle though, so i'm debating on even trying to hatch the 2k eggs. part of me wants to trash them (if possible) but also i got a squirtle from one once, so it's not a guranteed waste.

im conflicted.

 

Hatch the 2k ones in your infinite incubator and the 10k ones in the limited ones and the 5k ones wherever depending on the situation

 

I've gotten a couple Magikarp out of 2ks if you're farming them for the 400+ candies. And the first Pikachu I've actually seen.

 

Theoretically you can get starters out of 2k too. Which is useful for dumbutts like me who picked Charmander in a heavily forested area.

 

There are so many Dratini down here I would feel genuinely cheated if I got one out of a 10k egg oh my god.

For the 2k, go and hatch em, i got a charmander that way, got two clefairy from the 5k as well (i have 6 now, their names are either based on fairy tale puns or music puns, ive got a bass clef and a treble clef). Today i caught myself a chancey that it infintely more powerful than the one i hatched and i cant wait until i train the heck out of it. Btw, which name sounds pretensious, chauncey or chauser?
