I got moon and tried to name my Rowlett LittleStar, but a cat jumped on my hand so I ended up with Littlr.

I kinda like it though so might stick with that one.

I have secured my copy of moon because they made a mistake at the ups store and they really did have it. excitement!!! (I gave myself the night off from homework and stuff bc I'm gonna be Busy tomorrow so. I'm gonna enjoy this while I can)

 

Ive been playing constantly since my copy of moon got here. Tried to name my popplio Lapis and accidentally ended up with Lais lol. Still kinda cute? But i cant wait to find the name rater. Besides that ive got a pipipek, a grimer, and a meowth that im using somewhat. Yungooes and pichu are probably space filler.

 

even tho it would probs be more fitting for a rowlett to be named Bowie I named my popplio that bc of how fancy its final evo is+David Bowie as jareth was v glam. Loving this game so far!!!

 

I have completed my first island challenge, my team so far is:

- Feferi the Popplio
- Jaspers the Meowth
- Dirk the Pikipek
- Mituna the Cutiefly
- Boxcars the Makuhita

And now a summary of my thoughts so far, mostly copied from my tumblr.

Oh my goodness I love this game. Of course, I love every Pokemon game. I’ve been playing these for fifteen years now, and it’s still as good as ever.

The Alola region seems very interesting so far, and the updated graphics means it looks wonderful. All the new Pokemon are cool, though the Alola Forms of gen 1 mons are a bit less so.

Kukui is a rather… interesting professor. Having one that focuses on moves rather than evolutions or the like is pretty neat, but the way he goes about his research is clearly unorthodox. He sorta reminds me of professor Birch.

I’m really liking Lillie, the fact that she’s not a Pokemon trainer herself (yet) and her reservations about battling are intriguing. And apparently she has some sort of issue with her mom. Wonder what that’s going to be. Nebby is a silly little thing, but it’s mostly been there to drive the plot forward so far.

Hau seems like a nice guy and a pretty typical rival- kind, hotblooded, related to a more famous trainer in the region. The fact that his starter is weak to yours raises the question of who the other rival is, because so far it isn’t Lillie.

The Team Skull grunts are terrible and I love it. The rapping, the fourth wall jokes, the fact that it’s the same two grunts every time, the fact that they can’t get any respect, it’s good stuff.

The first Island Challenge was pretty simple, I wonder how the remaining six challenges are going to mix things up. If they’re going to something unique with this gen, and they clearly are, then there are bound to be some nice surprises ahead.

I’m done with Melemele island- now for Akala. I’ll post more thoughts once I’m done there.
