How do you get an oval charm?

He tells you he wants you to come back after becoming champion, then battles you when you make good on that. Game freak always has goodies like that every game, but I remembered them as "show me your pokedex 100% completed" and not "become champion." Guess all the new mons make that near impossible now lol.

The oval charm only increases the frequency of when eggs pop up though, it doesn't help hatching the eggs themselves like flame body or magma armor does.

Are you post-second battle with Lusamine or farther than that? It wasn't super clear and although that was vague enough to not be super spoilery it still confused me, since I don't consider the story completely over until the credits and even though I've caught Lunala I feel like there's still stuff to do.

Annnnd there's that one site where they were gonna build something but haven't yet. And there's the Dream park!!! Idk I just really want dlc or sun&moon 2 bc I feel like there's still Stuff To Do. Also that scene w the cover legendary and Lillie made me wanna cry I love that friendship so much
