fairy is indifferent to ghost I think, but steel is great against fairy and mimikyuu is ghost/fairy

teach it Flash Cannon and you can eat any other fairy type alive :)

 

plus Klefki has high enough defense to outlast pretty much any pokemon type it doesn't have an outright weakness to. which is lots

 

the ghost trial was hard, but it was the grass trial that really beat me up ;u; the only pokemon i had that was any good against it at the time was my fletchinder, which could still be easily 2-shot by lurantis's solar blade

AND it knew synthesis

also, i've been hatching rockruff eggs for almost 2 damn weeks and STILL no shiny! i've hatched at least 800 eggs. i'm using matsuda method + shiny charm, i didn't think it would take this long *sobs*

 

@ironicBonds i feel your pain :c i have hatched so many vulpix- no shiny. Instead i ended up chaining a sandyghast and randomly finding a shiny gumshoos

 

hey, does anyone else have a go-to trio for 3-on-3 battles? mine is Weavile, Garchomp, Toxapex

 

im only on the second trial 'cause im spending all my time on the pokedex

i decided to enter hell and both complete the living dex and also have a Perfect Looking PC, so if a pokemon has 3 evolutionary stages then i have to catch 3 of them, level up one to the final form and another one to the middle

 

@BunjyWunjy i was using Silvally, Arcanine, and Kartana for a while at the battle tree with good success! i got to like, 39 wins before i lost i think? but i know that team needs work :U

i might switch silvally for toxapex as my main opener, and i kinda wanna switch arcanine for something (primarina maybe, since i have one ready after battle of alola lol) but all of that is on hold for shiny hunting rn XD

@ironicBonds yeah I think as long as your pokemon follow the fast!sweeper/heavy damage tank/impenetrable wall model, you can't go far wrong p:

 

for the ghost trial, my plan was to toss my shiinotic in for a couple turns to fuck up everyone's stats before switching out. first thing ally haunter does? "fuck you no switching out"

then, mimikyuu learned ingrain off my shiinotic and used it :T and my shiinotic only knows ONE attack move, that does a piddly amount of damage to mimikyuu. i basically refused to let my shiinotic die out of sheer spite, and relied on ingrain and strength sap to keep her from dying. eventually the effect spore ability poisoned mimikyuu so i just. waited it out and then two shotted haunter with hidden power

 

Tbh I 2hko'd mimikyuu with my decidueye (thanks, decoy body ability fuck u) because fuck you, your intro actually mildly startled me. Luckily I had snorlax to take everything out while being untouched, saving dead bird from being murdered in turn.

I don't think I had any real trouble, save for grass trial's awful stalling lurantis and its shitty castform cohort. I had close calls with some Kahunas, but no one ever had me black out.

 

I think the ghost and electric trials were the most difficult for me, but I never lost more than three team members at any one time
fuck mimmikyuu tho, it took all three of those team members itself.

fuck mimikyuu.

 

I got whomped by the fire trial my first time cos I was under leveled and my diglett was too slow on its own to get anything off before Salazzle melted her down :P admittedly I haven't beaten all the islands yet, still gotta do the last one, but fingers crossed that's been the only real challenge so far!

the whole parallel world business where you get cosmog is kind of... meh
like it's exactly the same just with the temples and lakes switched, the clock is 12 hours back, and there's some interfernce on rotom

there couldve been done more with this. make it empty. make people not recognize you. make it abundantly clear that something is wrong and that this is either not the real world, or not your world, at least.

honestly im gonna play with this a bit more in attunementverse

do you guys favor a certain type when you build teams/raise pokemon? I didn't do it on purpose but I noticed the other day that I have more ground, steel and dragon types than anything else

 

I ended up giving my game to my brother because I suck at it. :c
I wish there was a way to just send Pokémon without trading them, because hyperempathy and I felt really bad when I reset.
Anyway, time to look up the plot. :P
