Catching all 151, er, 368, er ... a lot: The Pokemon Infodump Party!

i would love a kanto remake, it's still the only version ive completed (whole game + whole aftergame) multiple times

 

HG/SS is alreadya remakes of original gold silver and is also at least DS generation, though not 3DS. It will probably be a while before it gets another remake.

Meanwhile, red/blue (green) was last remade.... for the nintendo advance. About damn time it got brought back up into modern gen.

Although... I would be totally willing to wait a bit longer to get it for the Switch.

 

I would love to see remakes of the Johto/Kanto games is the bottom line here.

 

What we learned from today's Pokémon Direct:
-Pokken for Switch
-Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon on 3ds, a different story in the same world as S/M
-Gold/Silver on virtual console

 

Black 2 and White 2 were pretty good, so I'm tentatively optimistic about Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Mostly I'm hoping for more sidequests (Like contests, Pokeathlon or Pokestar Studios) and more Alolan forms.

 

Seconding more Alola forms.

 

Really excited to play Gold and Silver again when they're released on the 3DS store - I miss my long-dead copy whose battery ran out. HG/SS are amazing games (my favourites ever!) but the original Gameboy version holds like a whole truck of nostalgia so eeeeEEEE :D

Tentatively excited for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as well, thirding fingers crossed for more Alolan forms because that'd be super sweet.

 

Wait, Gold/Silver are going to be released on the 3ds store? What about Crystal?

 

Only GS have been announced

 

But they don't have the enter battle animations :(

 

I'm hoping Crystal will come too given time! I never played it (????why not, kid me???) so I have my fingers and crossed for a full Gen 2 estore release eventually...

i hatched a phantump, her name is lorna and she's gone from level one to level 27 in like half an hour, tops

 

i beat x and also have ALL THE EEVEES
so I'm happy

Of course gyms would be disabled just as soon as I get to level 5. Oh well, guess I got an extra couple days to figure out if I'm Mystic or Instinct.

Okay, all signs and portents are pointing me to Instinct. Guess I'm team yellow. Sssssson as the gyms come back up. Come on Niantic, hurry up with those updates.

 

I am so glad I re-downloaded Pokemon Go partway through the fire and ice event. Before Saturday I'd never even seen a vulpix, growlithe, ponyta, or any 2nd gen pokemon. Now I have enough candy to evolve a ninetales and an arcanine, and rapidash and houndoom are starting to look possible, though maybe not before the event ends. Also there are shellder and swinub everywhere.

 

I just caught a 306 cp ponyta and I hope I can get enough to evolve it before the event ends D:
