An explanation for what the hell was happening in Baskin, if you watched this and were as confused as I was at the end. Some of the same warnings I put on the Baskin post apply to this video, and it spoils the movie.

@Saro I just finished it. It's a pretty interesting, and it's definitely a good one to go into knowing as little as possible.

Saw someone on tumblr listing their favorite creepy web series and I’d only heard of 2 of them so I’m linking the rest here. Some warnings apply. Petscop hints at child abuse, ch/ss mentions mental illness and medication. I haven’t gotten around to watching some of these, so I’m not sure if the others have bad things in them.

I made my sister, the very spiritual/superstitious one, watch this. It's her new favorite.

Are you a fan of his? Someone posted a bunch of info about him as a response to my post :) apparently he's an ornery guy, and he actually didn't care for the actor who played the father. He would randomly butt him, leading to him breaking the father's ribs at one point. When the movie was done filming, he 'retired' and he's living a laid-back farm life.

I do want to buy this toy and put it next to my Annabelle, but honestly I just think goats are super creepy in general. If he had been another animal (like a black dog for example) I wouldn’t have cared about him.

I have a soft spots for goats, but they are the most convincing animal to play the devil.

SO I had to take my cat to the emergency vet last night (she was stumbling and we thought she hurt herself, nope, just her damaged inner ear again, which is frustrating but not unexpected) and it was... hours after bedtime by the time that wrapped up and I had drunk some coffee because I needed to be awake and functional for getting us home. Long story short I ended up SUPER keyed up in the actual middle of the night, unable to sleep, coming off a hue adrenaline high, frustrated and annoyed, which was a good time to play DDLC. I mean I don't have time for video games really so.

It was a good time! like other people said I was never really scared but I got those good gutfeelings of 'oh shit, something's really wrong, I know something is super fucked up but I can't figure what so I just have to tread softly' and it really yanked me around emotionally. I would get attached to one girl... and then another when an emotional bomb was dropped... and despite being like 'doing justice to the memory of Sayori is my #1 priority' at 1 am by 2 am my opinion was 'I must do anything Yuri needs of me' to 'ONLY MONIKA' by 3 am. They ran me for a fucking loop is all I can say, what good girls.

I appreciate the sheer Fucke Energy that emanates from Yuri; she was my initial choice and I still just understand her as a person. I love her curled up unfixable knot of thanatos impulses and eros impulses and self-fear that only maintains itself because its so unstable... can't self-correct if you rocket through extremes too fast. I get that. ]

Gameplaywise it wasn't bad either but... you know, after already doing Mother 2 + 3, Oneshot, Undertale, so on, unfortunately, the gimmick where characters read through things on your computer, alter things on your computer, and involve the player by name isn't new anymore. I knew how she was doing it... it was still cool but that gimmick needs to rest a bit before we figure out what else to do with it. Then again I happen to have played a lot of the games that did that because I like that sort of thing and the original OneShot (haven't gotten around to the Steam version yet) did the same thing but it was a lot tighter and a lot better integrated into the game. I'm desensitized. And... no, none of the imitators have hit that note as hard as Mother 2 did decades ago. Sorry... literally everyone else >u<

Of course I still like that thing. My favorite thing about the game was the actually really good poetry, especially Monika's stuff. Her stuff was a little more opaque to sort out, and she has a good, explanatory writing style.

Yo though Yuri's later mental breaks really reminded me of my erstwhile long-term girlfriend, who was... perhaps schizoaffective? (I never knew for sure.) And how falling in love with her was like originally. It was the same way with Anghel in Hatoful Boyfriend. It... bothers me that that feeling is still so nostalgic. Being just stupid in love with someone who makes no sense and is lying to me and about everything around them because I love the story they're making up and I love how it feels to be in their weird world. It's like a fantastic escape. And yeah actually I'm super glad I'm out of it. But I still immediately dunked myself into Yuri to the isolation to the rest of the characters without thinking of it, to the point where I only rejected her when it was unbelievably obvious that I would only be harming and enabling her by letting her literally stab me, so that still exists.

7/10 good dirty fun, will check up on Monika from time to time without altering anything about her game.

Bluh, Slender Man movie was a total wash. I wish there were less stupid American horror directors, and more of those with the patience and talent to build real tension and atmosphere ://////

"Within" was terrible, but it was fun to laugh at by the end. -50 points for a Fuckton of male gaze shots that just didn't need to be there whatsoever.
