Just saw a screenshot of a tweet from someone who just saw The Thing, and it was like "these guys are terrible at among us". I'm crying XD
skinamarink is the scariest movie i have ever seen, hands down, holy shit. i got so stressed i got nauseous 10/10
Christmas is as good a time for horror as Halloween. "The dark stub of the year", in Pratchett's words.
Ohhhh my god I'm so excited for this. I was worried it wouldnt quite hold up over the entire runtime, but now I'm like
the movie feels VERY long, but i think that was mostly because it’s a slow creep and i was so stressed out i was like PLEASE BE DONE, i didn’t at all feel like it overstayed its welcome
Night at the eagle inn was predictable but it was still a fun watch. It does get a little ridiculous at the end though.
Just watched Wendigoon's breakdown of Skinamarink and I am Not Watching That Alone Thankyou Heck was oppressive enough, do not need nightmare fuel to already add to my weird dad-trauma dreams lmao
Currently watching In Search of Darkness: Part III, and I just learned that Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne were in a horror movie together. It's really fun to hear people talk about their experiences on set. Especially when it's clear they had a really good time filming the movie they were in.
Lady in White is a bit dated special effects wise and not very scary, but other than that it's a nice little ghost/murder story from the pov of a little boy. Gives me guillermo del toro vibes a little.
Slash back ( not sure if it's one word or two) is a great movie. It's basically like the thing but with teenage girls. 4 1/2 out of 5.
Went to see Knock at the Cabin with family, and the ending feels kind of detached. Since it was a Shyalaman, I was expecting a Shocking Swerve of some kind and didn't get it.
Spoiler: Knock at the cabin/The cabin at the end of the world I thought the child dying at the end of everything they went through to protect her was supposed to be the shocking swerve? Or is the movie different from the book?
Possession is an interesting movie. I didn't find it very scary but I kept watching for Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani. Sam Neill is one of my favorite actors.
I guess the shocking swerve is the m night didn't give us a shocking swerve for once. I'm curious now about how the movie ends.
So I saw this in reddit and I thought it might be fun to post it here too. What actor or actress would you most like to see do a horror movie? I was going to say Jude Law and Kiera Knightley until I googled them and saw they'd already done horror.
