    • this is related to the derail thread not being unlocked: people are being given a chance to respond in a controlled environment first

    I can't begin to know what the best policy is for situations like that. But since that particular thing is directly relevant to mod action in a forum meta thread, it doesn't seem out of place to mention it in a thread about activities in your capacity as a moderator.

    Thanks, yeah. I also kind of figure that stuff here can serve as a sort of mini-announcement of 'hey, mods are still alive and maybe doing stuff.'

    The context for both of those is that Grim and Albedo have taken advantage of the fact that TCHGB is now post-moderated to post pictures of cute amigurumi in threads to which they are not invited, so that mods have to see a cute happy thing before we wiggle them.
