Gentle reminder that things that happen in public are public. 'You're not allowed to talk about a thing that hurts you' is, uh, not a norm I'm super interested in encouraging.

That said, it would also be appreciated if that didn't turn into escalating accusations, insults, and forum fires. I've seen a fair increase in 'people gently but firmly asserting boundaries and further deciding that they don't want to participate in a culture of vaguing' and that is super rad and I heartily endorse it.

• while I think that 'don't comment on things that happen in public' is an unreasonable boundary, 'don't interact with me directly' absolutely is a reasonable boundary, and for me at least when it's asked of me, that includes mod actions except in cases where people would otherwise be hurt (so, like, if someone tells me to fuck off, I won't rate posts or initiate conversations, but I still might wiggle public posts)
