• checked in with user -> I am sort of torn about including this? Because yes, absolutely, I consider trying to reach out to distressed people I'm not already friends with as part of trying to help with general community maintenance and therefore part of modding for me. And sometimes it'll be part of addressing a report? But sometimes also it'll be posts I encounter elsewhere (though I don't read everything so again pls report posts/threads you think mods need to take a look at), and it feels like that is a questionable privacy thing even if I never mention names. Like, if this were a baking forum, and someone posted an all-caps rant about the evils of chocolate chips, and I subsequently posted about having checked in with a user, y'all'd know exactly who I was talking to and about what. And I think there's a lot more noise here, but eh.
