yeah, if you can find a good blazer and jacket that fit you/you can have altered in a thrift store you already have a lot of options for when the weather isn't trying to kill people.

 

@witchknights my monthly budget for things that aren't food is about $100? which doesn't go terribly far with clothes, and usually I try to save about half of it. I haven't actually looked at any of those stores for ties specifically—I wasn't aware any of them sold them. (for general clothes, yes. I have this wonderful bomber jacket from Forever 21.) also lmao @ the boring lawyerdude—my mom is a lawyer so I know a LOT of those people.
fortunately I do have a jacket that fits! a whole suit, actually. my grandmother got it for me from an outlet for Christmas. I am juuuust tall and wide enough that the smallest stuff off men's racks fits me (5'7"). and I love love love that suit, it's like the best item of clothing I own.

check stores like tjmaxx or marshalls, sometimes they have good/cheap stuff

 

I'm awake again and here comes a set of more affordable dress shirts in jewel tones, probably. I just kinda guessed for price.

also, I have my cute sailor dress on today, and I'm hit with a wave of "why don't I have more of these, they're so cute!"

I am intrigued by coloured pants (as I mentioned earlier in this thread) but I can't seem to work up the nerve to pair them with anything but neutrals. Maybe a set like that?

I can try and look for something! Were you thinking a set like the dress shirts or an outfit idea? (Outfit idea might be easier because only need to find one of the dresses, but I could totally give either a shot)
