Nope, that's pretty much the joke. I mean sure I'll eventually run out of philosophers for her to kick, but I figure it's either the kind of thing that starts funny and then gets stupid, or the kind of thing that starts funny, gets stupid, then starts being funny again through the sheer absurdity of repetition, and only time will tell. Also it's a small and simple enough project that I can actually do it and have a done thing instead of getting bogged down two pages in.
i was told i could get a upgrade to the next version of SAI for free, and did so. up side: the upgrade worked! down side: IT DID THE SAME THING AS MY COPY OF PHOTOSHOP DID AND BECAME SO FUCKING TINY THAT NOT ONLY MY BLIND ASS CAN'T SEE ANYTHING, BUT NATHAN WITH HIS -GOOD- EYES COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING. so far the kicking variety's been perfectly sufficient to keep a 4 panel comic fresh, and i'm a person who got sick of dinosaur comics in like 13 seconds
thank! I said I was going to keep everything reeeeal simple in this one and not go ham on details and well look how long that lasted. ahaha. ha. haha. (ok well the prisoners get more shading but stay pretty much neckless stick people, the guards and the liberators get drawn more or less like actual people)
OKAY TWO QUESTIONS 1) is this a cool place to drop updates or no? and 2) any r/comics users on here who might be able to give me some pointers in using that subreddit? Thanks everybody.
I'm thumbnailing so many pages guys, I might actually finish thumbnailing this entire chapter before we have to start putting out actual pages again. I've dropped at least one update in here (in the process of screaming about getting it done) and nobody seemed to mind. But if you want a more official opinion I think @Codeless is Thread Boss on account of being Thread Maker. Edit: edit because I hit Post Reply on the wrong draft. This is why we don't do drugs keep multiple tabs of the same thread open, kids.
I´ve kinda been gone on acount of feeling bad for abandoning my comic. As far as posting updates, I´d say ask the folks here fi they´d want that or not. I intended the thread to be mostly for screaming about the process of making a comic. The behind the scenes mess.
I gave myself two months between chapters so I could try and work up a buffer and even though Key and I have the script hashed out and thumbnailing is going well I have NO buffer (except for the chapter title page which was easy peasy and isn't quite finished actually) and now I only have two weeks of my break left. *requisite screaming*
1. I started on the second to last page of Red Sector A this morning. I'm actually going to actually fucking finish a fucking comic. 2. The next project (other than getting the hell back to work on Tales of Beefgnawpolis: Prologue) is a ToB side story featuring the Vegan Tribe and a very generous but terrible thing they do to the rest of the world every year and tl;dr I am learning more about the raising and use of zucchini than I ever wanted to know.
I did most of a test panel of Zucchinipocalypse at the laundromat, why is my semi-lineless painty style so much faster to do than the line-y style, why does it look so much fucking better
