Kind of frustrating that knitpicks doesn't have a "baby" section, but I found these! Anything that says it's suitable for kids or babies should be super soft, in theory. Especially the alpaca.
"I don't have time," she says. "I have an exam," she says. So not counting the 1h45 when I realised I'd misjudged one of the most important shades and had to unpick it and restitch, this took me a little under nine hours (including colour matching). Sorry for the crappy image quality! The sun's nearly down. Spoiler: Progress pic for scale! These don't give you an idea of the size, so here's a progress pic I took with a penny sterling for scale. A penny is just over 20mm across.
So I just started a sewing project (with my grandma) and I ve made the first dress, I'll post a picture later, when I'm not rushing, but it's a floaty empire waist dress in periwinkle blue/purple. But that was just practice learning how to sew, the finished project will hopefully be a whit floaty dress white a boat neck lined in gold yellow, a belt of the same colour, and a dark grey rectangle on the chest. There will be pictures, :)
as fellow crafters, y'know that feeling when a project just starts coming together, and you can just see the transformation it did to get from a pile of materials to where it is now... It's a nice feeling.
Also the feeling when you wear or use the thing for the first time and and just feel like, "I made a thing!"
Or when someone sees what you've made and says something along the lines of "that's really nice, where'd you get it?"
I just gotta mention that i finished a TON of crafts but I can't find the time to take and post pictures untilafter the larp but i will try to remember to post then!

Oops, sorry! Took in the progress photos and skipped over the finished project. I'm on my phone, which doesn't help. *goes back to re-examine* ETA: Niiiice. Is the purple skirt hi-low, too?
hey so i make perler bead stuff and felt like posting all my old ones... Spoiler: stuff MLP FiM Monaco Random stuff (rupee, pokeball, galaga ship, heart container) Yogscast (trott, smiff, turps, rythian)
@Imoyram Cool! I remember that stuff from when I was a kid. I used to love playing with it, but my mum was the one who had to operate the iron, so we almost never got them ironed.
I got the first couple of my bead-wrapped bottles done! Pictures soon I keep forgetting to take them when there's daylight.
@Imoyram I like the white dress best of them, as well as the Pony perler beads. You can probably sell them and the others at cons, if you ever feel like giving that a try? They're at least popular items in the NEast American con circuit (typically with lanyards or key chain hooks, if I remember right?). Excellent work! What are the dresses going to be used for? @Starcrossedsky Excellent!
