Well, I mean, in Sburb terms, it's not a required part of the game that they ever interact with their ectorelatives, or that their guardian end up in the game. Just that they be made by ectobiological cloning of themselves, or of ectoparents (the latter of which would be a symptom of a nonviable session).

Only half a crossover, but I still really want 'DC Bombshells meet their main universe/JLU/whatever counterparts' because I think it'd be great. I mean, the Wonder Women would probably just fistbump and be on their way, but then you have standard Hawkgirl meeting adorable lesbian inventor Bombshells!Hawkgirl, or actually-pretty-healthy-and-noncriminal Harley and Ivy... Kara Starikov and her crew meeting the mainline Superfamily could be really cute as well. Though if I'm honest I really want the standard Batfamily meeting DC Bombshells vigilante girl scouts Batfamily + Kate 'i fucking love homonyms' '75% of what comes out of my mouth is a snappy quip or slogan' Kane + literal vampire WW1 Ace Pilot Witch Barbara Gordon would be hilarious. Spoiler: Spoilers up till the Battle of Berlin issues And, of course, with the potential to be Super Heartbreaking, because Kate's entire reason for becoming Batwoman was because of Jason's death, so finding out that a) he existed in the mainline b) Bruce let him fight in the mainline and c) he died because of that would be SUPER painful for her. and she would probably be pissed as hell at Bruce. but i don't know enough about Jason's mainline personality to say how he'd deal with the knowledge of that entire... business. or, hell, how Kate and Renee would deal with 'oh yeah Jason died, but also he's alive, grown up, and deals with his trauma via firearms.' ...plus, the fact that in Bombshells Joker's main role is dying as part of a backstory, and in general being an incredibly minor player, could be very funny if played right. like. he's harley's old flame, who died, and then the Suicide Squad know him as 'oh yeah that guy he definitely existed, and now doesn't anymore (because we murdered him or something,) he definitely was a human that was around.' And that's it! that is the entirety of his role. he is nearly irrelevant. supergirl's russian dad who spends most of the story in a gulag is more relevant than him.
Force Awakens Avatar AU!! Anakin Skywalker was the previous Avatar and he did an absolutely bang up job of it, so the Spirits in their infinite wisdom decided to hand the mantle over to his grandson, Ben. And everything went just super well for everyone involved! Rey fits well as the next Avatar, and that could be fun in its own right, I just really love the idea of two in a row, fucking terrible Avatars. The spirit realm blackballs the Skywalkers for the next millennia. Definitely Rey is an airbender by birthright, tho. Anakin, Luke, and Leia are firebenders, and Han and Poe are air kingdom stock but nonbenders themselves. Finn is earth kingdom stock, but also a nonbender. I'm thinking that most bending lore and techniques are scattered to the wind by the actions of the Empire. Luke does a lot of traveling around, trying to piece together all the bits and bobs he can find. He's not a greaaaat teacher, but he feels obligated to pass on his amassed knowledge to young benders of all types, at least till the deal with Ben goes down. I think Palpatine was just a dude, but Snoke is definitely some kinda spirit.
I'm working on basically a DCTU/Homestuck crossover thing? Spoiler: info Primarily the Arrow and Flash AU. Barry - Prince of Time Wells - Bard of Space Cisco - Seer of Mind Caitlin - Paige of Heart Oliver - Knight of Rage Sara - Heir of Blood Roy - Rogue of Life Thea - Thief of Doom Felicity - Maid of Light So basically, Barry being the prince of time he's doomed to destroy time trying to save it. And by the make up of the team they have, they're doomed as an entire universe, and not just a specific timeline. Death is inevitable for this universe no matter what, yay. Ok so, basically what I'm thinking goes down is this: In what I'm going to call doomed timeline 1, Wells betrays their team after a long time after they become god teir, and have started to suspect they might be a doomed timeline. He uses his power, which he's built up over time since his becoming god teir, to attempt to take over the timeline by force. Barry basically gets a hold of him before he uses his super cool space powers, and tosses him - for lack of a better word - into another timeline in the hope that it'll stop him, as they still consider themselves to be the main timeline (or at least hold out hope that they are). However, Barry didn't really know how to control his powers very well, and ended up tossing Wells directly into the real main timeline, thus destroying any semblance of hope for the universe to not be doomed. Timeline 1 Barry after not too long figures out that he is not, in fact, in the correct timeline after getting a feel for his powers more and attempts many times to fix said timeline. He only makes the one they're currently in worse, and in the end gets himself killed for it. Not to long after that, the rest of the team realize that with their time player gone, that they are in fact in the doomed timeline. Meanwhile, Wells is sent back in time within the main timeline, before any of their team got their god teirs, and he still is himself, god teir. He still wants out of the game and ultimate power, so he more or less hides within plain sight by killing his main timeline double, and taking his place. As he still thinks his timeline is the main one, he makes a plan to force this timeline's Barry to put him back in his own timeline.When eventually they do get their powers, Wells betrays them all and attempts to make them take him back. This Barry, however, already knows that he's in the main timeline already and knows, in an abstract way, that they're probably doomed. When he tells Wells their timeline is the main one, and he goes power crazy and tries to kill them all to get the game for himself. The team end up making a decision to try and send him back to where he's from in attempt to reset the main timeline so it wont be destroyed, however both the Maid of Light and Seer of Mind realize that a battle between Barry and Wells would literally eradicate their entire universe. Despite everything that it could mean, and both Cisco and Felicity telling him not to, Barry tries anyway because that's the guy he is and the person he's cursed to be in the game. So in his attempt, again, to save the time line he entirely destroys it.

(the genesis of it being: me: *sees art of aaron burr (hamilton) wearing a suit that's coincidentally pretty much the exact same shade as norm the genie's (fairly oddparents) eyes* me: *immediately starts wondering why this is the first time i've ever considered shipping the pairing aaron burr/norm the genie* also me: *rolls eyes at my own predictability and ridiculousness* me: but... why not? why not?!)
I recall Norm pressures people to use their wishes already so he can get back to things, but Burr sure isn't likely to hurry about using them. Time knowing each other, time sorta villain monologuing their irritations...
i love that you actually went somewhere with my crack crossover pairing :D:D:D and yep, you're right about both of them. :D:D:D and norm would be someone that burr wouldn't feel the need to put on a persona for. norm doesn't have a vote he needs to get and he's not in any political parties, after all. he might be able to fuck things up if he really wanted to and/or burr made a wish, but norm is pretty much bereft of all influence otherwise. and both norm and burr know that "i hate him so much i want to literally kill him" feel. (timmy turner wouldn't have been born yet, but i'm sure someone else managed to get norm's ire like that before.)
So- Homestuck fire emblem AU where prospit and derse are kingdoms at war and the felt is a small kingdom gaining power at a suspicious rate. John is the local Lord from prospit and its future ruler, he and his friends try to bring peace between the two kingdoms. There's also the alpha kids/beforus trolls via the children mechanics from the DS games.

So I may have begun writing a HP/Homestuck crossover where, in the very beginning of the camping trip from hell, Hermione gets an inconveniently (or TOO conveniently?!) timed phone call (shh, I'm moving the timeline up to match Homestuck, so she's got a cell phone) from her cousin Jade, who is all "So I heard about what's going on over there, do you want to come to my island and regroup? I have guns!! :D :D :D?" I am both honestly kind of surprised that this concept doesn't already exist somewhere (I checked) and way more amused than is warranted.
I'm torn between making her a muggle who just knows way too much (silly wizards thinking they can hide from Grandpa Harley! Or Jade, for that matter.), or also a witch (but like, a TECHNOLOGICAL witch), or making this post-game and letting her keep her god powers. On the subject of them being cousins, I have decided that Hermione's mom is John's dad's sister, and that's how they're related, so really Jade's her aunt! Edit: maybe I won't specify, and all three of them will spend the whole thing completely confused about what exactly she is and can do. Even Hermione, because if this is technology, it's definitely way more advanced than she's ever seen before...
Jade would make a good squib in this setting, especially considering space players tend to have a lot of wish fulfillment going on. If jade had always wished she was a witch like other family members the game could be like " okay, done, technically"
