New Orleans Is Sinking by The Tragically Hip because it comes to mind way more often than it should when talking about the Mississippi/Louisiana flooding/Louisiana government corruption/coastline erosion.
That does it, I'm gonna hafta start listening to Metal again. I grew up with 70's and 80's metal and though the music is faster, harder, and the vocals are better, this is recognizably the Metal I remember:
this entire album is amazing, but oblivion (starts around 31 mins) is just so good. also i learned that space rock is a genre that is a thing, that i love, & i'm never leaving the bandcamp tag for it (space metal too, i luv all this)
I'd like to introduce you all to your new crush Hiromi Uehara, the most brilliant and adorable jazz pianist ever. I've been in love with her since I was eighteen years old and I'd like you to suffer with me. She things to music that would make Mozart cry envious bitter, envious tears (and also probably proposition her, because he was like that.) Be warned she gets a bit experimental at times, if that sort of thing makes you anxious. I think it still sounds good but YMMV.
