    Thanks to a more knowledgeable friend of mine, I now know the name of one of my favorite music styles: trip hop!

    So if anyone lurking this thread has some bands they like, let me know so I might expand my library. I've been a decades long Portishead fan, also Massive Attack, Sneaker Pimps...now I'm getting into Tricky too.

    Seconding this. IAMX is a fave of mine. I can listen to him for almost a whole day and have done so before. You might like his songs 'commanded by voices' and 'nature of inviting' to start out with.
