anyone here have good music recs for dnd inspiration? like, taverny sounding stuff? (I may have accidentally harrassed the boyfriend into making a cute bard lady, and have been put on music-finding duty.)
I have decided, for no reason, that unless specifically named in text, all the NPCs in my upcoming Reign of Winter campaign will have porno names. Brief brainstorming has resulted in: Titsa Flappin Brock Flexchest Dick Hardcase Rodney Steele Angus McCracken Tanya Baxide (I may keep this one for myself, it's a stroke of genius New Penname!) Ben Dover (A classic) Wilhelm(-ina) Strokevitch Camille Gerle Katya Balzac ETA: Jackie Swallows Max Johnson Bill Doe Suggestions welcome!
I tried out D&D 5e the other day on Skype and Roll20 and had fun! I really like the advantage/disadvantage mechanics, holy shit. I wanna play it some more. The dm premade characters for me and I played a dragonborn paladin. Oath of vengeance, noble background from an established family of knights and warriors. She was the sort to lecture noontime drunkards to go home to their families, and get them mugs of water either way to help the hangovers... Use "lay on hands" on a shirtless, handsome guy to get a chance to lay her hands on his chest... And advocate burning down an evil tree as quickly as possible, despite thr druids still stuck in it, so it doesn't have time to retaliate. There's a time for aid and a time for expedience---regrets come later. Also, there's some cool fan-made unded races, and I am absolutely going to play around translating Papyrus into it. :p The big question is, what class....?
I gots a 3D printer at work: http://www.cel-robox.com/ And my boss said that as long as I get my stuff done I can goof off and do whatever I want, so I've been printing dungeon tiles and such. There's a ton of free ones on Thingiverse, and if I need a custom piece and it's pretty geometric I can do it up in solidworks. My GM gave me a level last night for bringing the set pieces for the room we were fighting in.
Does anyone in here have useful online resources for 5e? The PFSRD spoiled me and out of the entire playgroup only Newbie DM has ever played 5e before, and he is... not the best at explaining things :|
There's something of an SRD started up for 5e, but there's a lot of content that's not on it yet. :c Not sure if it has what you're looking for?
So I was overtaken by what the Dwarf Fortress community calls a "fey mood..." Wombat +2 Con, +1 Wis. Wombats are sturdy and sensible creatures. Small size. A wombat has a base speed of 25 ft. As with dwarves, this speed is not affected by encumbrance. Skilled. Wombats can choose up to three bonus skill and/or tool proficiencies at character creation. Iron Backside. When not wearing armor, a wombat's Armor Class cannot be less than 12+their Dex modifier. Obligate Herbivore. If a wombat eats more than a pound of meat in a day, they suffer the poisoned condition for 1 hour. Immune to Prophecy. Some wombat lineages gain advantage on saving throws against all divination spells (as does any of their worn/carried equipment), but cannot become clerics or paladins. [other wombat clans to choose from: fire resistance from Smoking Rock, maybe?] (diggercomic.com)
....Gosh darn it stop showing me reasons to play Dwarf Fortress, I've heard that game is the most massive timesink that ever existed.
