Today I had 2 Dragon Age related dreams and both of them were AMAZING. In the first one, Sera came out as transmasculine. She did it in this very Sera way, rambling on about this strange Coca-Cola like "tonic" (its name even was a deliberate misspelling of Coca-Cola, which I found hilarious) they sold in Denerim which had this picture of a roaring lion decorating the flask, and how she wanted to have a beard. It led to the creation of Sera Has a Beard! mods and they were all fantastic. In the other one, as I rambled excitedly to my mom about TRANS SERA YAY!, she asked me what the hell these Dragon Age games were all about. And I started to explain and was all like SO THERE'S LOGHAIN... THERE'S KING CAILAN... AND NOW YOU ARE THE HERO OF FERELDEN, YOU WILL SAVE ALL OF THEDAS AND POSSIBLY BECOME THE KI G OR QUEEN! And by that time I'd made such an impassioned speech that me and my mom were surrounded by this ROARING CROWD all YESSSSSS!!! WE WANT TO PLAY DRAGON AAAAAGE!!!
Is there anyone having problems with the new version of the cinematic tools? every time i try to run it it just doesn't work.
I've had the same problem with the latest cinematic tools. It doesn't ever run the thing that hooks into the game itself.
Also, aside from the super mediocre combat, KOTOR has possibly the worst autosave/reload system. I tend to get too into games to remember to do a manual save, and even if you just die in KOTOR (let alone want to redo something) you have to start back at your last save. I ragequit last time because I lost a few hours of play. It's funny the things that have been streamlined in the last ten years that make gaming so much better.
i wanna play KOTOR because the dude you can romance totally has kaidan's voice and i am shallow trash, but the game has aged with... issues. the lack of ~true~ character customization (appearance-wise) also bothers me a lot >:| i cant get into games if i can't fiddle with a character creator for at least 35 hours. I save every time i sense a Choice Or Conversation coming up, so that hasn't bothered me too much, but god. i have so many saves. I had hit the save limit in inquisition right after the "who's mythal?" bit of WPHW in my first playthrough.
I've been forcing myself not to save scum. If Saoirse manages to commit some sort of awful faux pas that ends in the deaths of millions then she has to live with that. Which is why Merrill and Kom'rk's clan is dead. That shit was awful and I was sad and had to stop playing for a time. But it's staying the same.
Yeah I'm totes gonna bang Carth bc he sounds like Kaidan. Also how prickly he is towards my PC is kinda hilarious. Mostly because it's due to really awkward writing. Like they didn't know how to make revealing character backgrounds feel natural so characters will give a liiiiittle more information then get really mad at you for prying. They've really polished that in their recent games. Most of my friends are obsessive savers, but I just can't seem to remember to do it.
I got trespasserrrr Also, in Origins I had this bug that made my game crash every five seconds when Berit was in the Fade, so I got into the habit of saving after /everything I did/. Ended up hitting the Inquisition save limit basically as soon as I finished my first playthrough and started my next.
If I play Trespasser, can I still access the various open-world stuff that I can access after finishing the main campaign? I mean, finishing the game cut me off from some quests, and it would make sense if Trespasser did too, but I just discovered the Hissing Wastes today (somehow I missed visiting it) and I'd like to still be able to roam around closing rifts and doing dumb side quests and stuff.
Nope. Trespasser has to be the very last thing you do. Once you've started it, the only way out is to revert to an earlier save. (You get access to all your storage and crafting stuff and some stores, though, since you'll probably need them.)
Ok, well, I'll just note down my save number before I start, then, since I'm too excited to put it off until I've done Everything. :P Thanks!
Me: tries to run trespasser Trespasser: is stuck on a loading screen Me: Oh, it must be one of my mods! No problem, I'll just fix it with the mod manager.. Me: closes inquisition (a protracted process because my computer hates me) Me: opens it again and tries to run trespasser Trespasser: is stuck on a loading screen Me: ... realizes I didn't actually change anything and have now wasted half an hour in pointless closing and relaunching and re-closing :|||||
Oh noooo Yeah Trespasser really doesn't like most mods. You're pretty safe with hair, although there's no guarantee it'll work. Complexions are iffy, formal wear retextures will always crash it.
speaking of mods, the no helmet hack for origins isn't working, so now that i'm replaying my canon warden she looks like she's wearing a giant, diseased penis. Spoiler i hate the mage helmets in this game so much
i SORTA like the mage robes for this one character specifically, but. yes. oh god yes. pants would be so nice.
Inquisition is funny enough in which it actually makes me want to have the circle Mage robes for my inquisitors, even if it's just for pictures :/ but i don't think it's ever gonna be possible. I'm awful to please I guess?? Like when I only have robes here I am with my grey wardens of ferelden and my dlc armors that have actual pants for mages and when I only have pants for mages I want robes. But the high definition! The pictures! The models are already in the game! I'm stupid happy with the variety in armor shapes and how everything looks really pretty, despite my whining. It's stuff enough to make me feel guilty for wanting more armors.
