That's quite possibly the hardest part of this. :T I had to do a lot of pausing and hitting 'hold position' or 'disengage' and taking manual control. I forgot whether or not I was able to set party members at the controls while my Inq did necessary running around...
Berit! I'm trying to hear a dramatic speech from the Viddasala! Can you stop falling on the ground in pain for a sec! Edit: I do have to say - the buildup on the mark was well-done. From Sera's journal making note of how bad the Inquisitor's hand looks, to the acquisition of more and more powerful and destructive abilities, to Varric worriedly reassuring you that it'll turn out alright.. gj, Bioware. Edit again: Now I have to explosively fling myself across the map periodically :| Fun!
I had a similar problem with solas's quest trying not to kill his demon friend NO COLE I TOLD YOU TO GO AFTER THE PILLARS - SOLAS YOU'RE THE ONE WHO WANTED TO DO THIS STOP TRYING TO ELECTROCUTE YOUR FRIEND
Well, I finished the game! Damn. What a good. It was really fun to play Berit getting progressively more fed up. With Orlais, with the Qun, with spies and politics and Fen'Harel and, oh yeah, her hand trying to kill her. She got two separate angry speeches (one was "this fucking thing" and one was the speech about how the world was saved by the /people/ in the inquisition, not the organization) and it was hella cathartic. I feel like she's gonna be more straightforwardly pissed from now on. (ALSO HOLY FUCK CASS IS READING VARRIC'S BOOK OVER THE CREDITS AND DOING THE VOICES, AND I AM IN LOVE)
honestly half the motivation I have for completing my other playthroughs is getting to play Trespasser again, it's SUCH a good DLC. it's like the Citadel DLC, but taking a serious note instead of a playful one, and I'm really glad they were able to make it
Finishing it just made me SO PSYCHED FOR MORE DRAGON AGE The characters! And the world! The suggestion that the Inquisitor might be in the next game! The big plot shit being set up! AAAAAAAAA
I would really, really love to play as my Inquisitor in DA4 because: - directly tied to ongoing struggles - seriously, it's personal at this point - to spite all of the people convinced that missing a forearm makes someone so crippled they're basically helpless - DISABLED HERO - Disabled hero with prosthetics = more Dagna?? - said he had to go save the world again! SAID IT! - wow have I gotten attached to that pointy-eared malcontent, way moreso even than Hawke and I love Hawke
I will be really distressed if i can't play as Idrilla in the next DA game too ): I can't take the wardenization of another favorite character and i am hesitant in trusting bioware's writing of past pcs after Hawke. But it'd also suck to have our romances be not relevant again, so unless they were bringing back all the other love interests too it's... idk. i doubt they'd do that.
I'd love it because then Berit could continue being my Dragon Age protagonist for everything other than DA2 :D Plus, like you, I'm just super attached to her - I've spent all my writerly energies this year on getting super into Berit's character, and I love the maladjusted little nerd. Edit: Omg and she stuck the knife in Tevinter on the map!! I hope we get to go to tevinter. and BURN IT DOWN.
God y'all are making me want to buy Trespasser but I have to move cross country in a month But Trespasser is on saaaaaale right now Hnnnng
I am so upset by all the people who cried about the Inq being disabled and how this totally makes them incapable of being a hero because a) no??? b) Bull's missing an eye (and was missing an arm in early concept art) and Cullen's actively fighting a drug addiction, Bioware has made it pretty clear they think disabled people can kick ass and c) with the exception of the sword n board warrior spec and longbows for rogues, most of the actual battle styles can be fully performed one handed. You get a prosthetic if you join Friends of Red Jenny. It's not that hard. (Am I little bitter about Bioware fans being really ableist at times? Maybe.) I'd be pretty sad if I didn't get to play my elf again, especially since it's all but guaranteed that Dorian's going to be heavily involved with whatever's going on, and the primary antagonist is Solas. Hawke and the Warden both had pretty clear endings, but Trespasser ends with Inq committing themselves to another battle. Leaving them off in favor of a newcomer would feel wrong, because this is their fight, from beginning to end. From the moment they walked out of the Fade with the mark on their hand, they were committed.
Question: does anyone have any Varric/Cassandra recs? I have yet to read anything I liked - either it ignores their hilarious and excellent dynamic in favor of Sappy Romance #6, or theyre extremely angsty.. about dumb coincidental stuff, rather than their actual problems. help meeeee
Ok I actually missed the sale for Trespasser but you guys and my moirail have convinced me, I have bought it and am downloading it now LET'S SEE HOW ZEF HANDLES THIS LOL (I should probably rename her to a name that seems more realistic for the world of Thedas... I'd probably name her Asaara because it means "wind" in Qunlat and I originally derived "Zef" from "Zephyr" soooooooooooo)
My first/mainish Adaar is named Most Definitely A Truly Extraordinary Perfectly Healthy And Hopefully Well-Adjusted Adaar - Mosdef for short - because while its not exactly lore-friendly i love the idea of his parents not really getting this "name" thing. also I had Lemon Demon's Really Cool Wig stuck in my head at the time. Trespasser is PROBABLY my favorite dlc in all the three games so i'm really happy you got it!!
oh no I have all the feels now help also uh. is it a common thing for the game to crash right after you get the bridge up? Cause that's a thing that happened.
I am on PC but I have zero mods installed which is why I was all ???? when it happened, lol. I ended up just interpreting it as the game deciding it was time for me to go to bed :P
